Lamb kabobs was amazing and that is where it stopped, rice was crunchy and hard, salad had old brown edges. If you go plan for a long stay, the service is horrible. It took 30 minutes just to get water let alone a refill. Never received my appetizer and it took over a hour to reveive our food plus they went ahead and put a 20 percent gratuity on the bill. While we were there, two tables walked out. Then the manager actually called the police on them. I will never be back, worse dining experence I have ever had.

Aside from the fact that they have good bellydancers sometimes, I have nothing good to say about Layla's. Actually, I have left there irritated or mad on several occasions.
First: the management is awful. They add a 20% gratuity onto every bill, regardless of the size of the party, if you can believe it. They also take a significant cut out of all gratuities for themselves.
Second: it's ridiculously overpriced. My wife and I got a $20 bill for 2 beers and an order of fries. Who do they think they are? The food is not horrible, but it does not provide a good reason to go there. Go to Hala for a meal, then get your drinks at a bar. They'll be a lot cheaper.
Oh, hookas are around $18. Really? Unless you have a very large group, you'd be dumb to pay that kind of money for a bowl of tobacco.
Third: the dining room and patio are cluttered, uncomfortable and loud.
Skip Laylas.

i had the beef shawarma and some hummus baba ghanouj and basmati rice.
it was pretty awesome. its a little pricey, but the food is worth it and it all tastes so fresh.. other than that, the waiter was ok and he made the drinks stiff...
