Great food & friendly staff, all around a good atmosphere!
Best times to go are I'd have to say around 10:30, Noon, & around 5-6 pm!

So me and my mom went out to eat during grocery shopping and she chose her favorite restaurant Charlie's chicken, we walk in to several health code violations
1. No one was wearing gloves
2. Our table was still dirty from the last people
3. Cobwebs above our table
4. Gross stained wall paper
5. They left the serving spoons in the metal containers and when they didn't they put them in a hole with water in it
6. The manager licked her fingers and then proceeded to touch the pies and rearrange them
7. There was rusty chicken wire around the pictures
8. A worker touched her breasts and went back to cooking then gave me a look like she was gonna jump me in the parking lot
9. on the support bemes to the table there was alot of chicken crumbs and it looked as if they haven't been cleaned in a month and it was only 10am ish
In conclusion I would not recommend to anyone the restraint part was so gross I refused to even go to the bathrooms it was horrible, I'm sorry if this is your favorite restaurant but I had a bad experience feel free to disagree if you would like

This restaurant has continued to go down hill. The food is served barely warm, and the chicken pieces are ridiculously small. Prices have increased, so it is not worth the money.

Service is deteriorating. I have been dining here about every other day for months. Now I only visit once or twice a month. No change in portion sizes, way to small for the price. Many times the ice machine does not work like today Sunday, 4Feb18. Kid serving, looks as of he isn't even old enough to work there. Gives you small portions. Can't go there hungry anymore. Really a shame. They had something special that other restaurants in J Town didn't have.

Just got home ready to eat and my order is wrong. Ordered chicken livers, but got gizzards. Can not even chew.

We normally dine inside you restaurant an always enjoy but after an exhausting work week we opted for your drive-thru this evening. Sorry to report that our meal was very disappointing. Must have been an off night?
Ordered 2 combo meals, order incorrect & chicken tasted "leftover" sides ok except for gr beans straight out of the can- barely warm-no seasoning.A Tignor
Out of rolls-employee told us that she was going to give us free drinks instead-aren't drinks free w/combo?

Waited in line just to get to the order screen for 10 mins., when I finally got to order they told me they did not have ANY rotisserie chicken in dark or white so I ordered meatloaf instead for my wife, I ordered catfish for myself and blackberry cobbler which they were out of the cobbler also. When I got to the serving window after another 12 mins. they informed me they had bad news and did not have any catfish either. Wasted 22 mins. of my time after work for nothing, no apology, no nothiing. Window attendant was very rude.

my daughter, I & granddaughter arrived @ 18:04, no one in line, we ordered then asked to pay $38.28 (least amount we have ever spent there), then were informed the fish we had ordered would be another 8-10 minutes the chicken chunks we ordered would be with in that time, 15 minutes later after 12 people came in, ordered, & received there full orders, my daughter went to the register to ask when our meals would be completed...some woman from the "window" area came over & was very very nasty to her...demanded to know what her problem was...I came to the register asked when our orders would be filled, was then asked "JUST WHAT ARE YOU WAITING ON?!!!!" I replied "our dinner" she responded "well, yeah, what did you order? I told her another nice woman was waiting on us & that I had no idea what was missing from our orders!" She informed ME I had no reason to be nasty, I explained we had been waiting & were just wanting to leave, she became even nastier...IF I hadn't paid with a credit card I would have to HER where to stick her customer relations attitude!!! Last time we go there! There are several new chicken places in Joplin!!! Thank You Very Much

Wonderful place to eat if you like home cooking. Everything is made-from-scratch, even the hot rolls are to die for.
