The Oaktree Bar & Grill is an amazing place. I am a steak lover from way back and I've been privileged to travel around the country due to my job. Whenever I happen upon a place that has a steak house or a Bar that has a steak night I am always game. Well I am here to tell you that The Oaktree Bar & grill in Augusta, KS. Has my vote for best tasting steak I've ever ate in America. This beautiful handcut 16 oz. ribeye is charbroiled to perfection on a real wood smoker. The loaded baked potato & salad almost as wonderful as the steak itself. Ron & Mary Emmerson, The Owners of the Oaktree Bar & Grill run one of friendliest and relaxed dining experiences I've had in a long time. They also have live entertainment on the weekends. I walked in a stranger, and walked out feeling like a member of their wonderful family. A special place with very special people! I'm looking forward to coming back to the Oaktree Bar & Grill as soon as I can. Long live the Oaktree!!

This quaint, little bar & Grill in Augusta, Kansas caught my eye as an Historical building and I went in to see if the food was as interesting as the facility. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. The Chef and owner - Ron Emmerson was unassuming, polite and an excellent cook. He prepared one of the best hand-cut Rib-Eye steaks I have ever eaten. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned and served. It was accompanied by a perfect baked potato, side of fresh corn and a smile. I would recommend this to anyone going by, near or living in the Wichita, Kansas area. Thumbs up!
