went their tonight and the food was nasty/ and no waitress even came by the table to ask us how we was doing and if the food was to are likings. and went to check out and they didn't even smile or ask if everything was good. I have been their several times for breakfast and tonight was the first time for dinner. seems like everything was right out of a can. to me a restaurant should be cooking fresh foods.

Don't you find it kinda funny how people slander a persons name on the internet. 2 reviews bashing one person... Stop slaughtering her profession. Seems to me like a couple people had it out for her and have nothing better to do with their boring lives except try to make a person look bad. Grow up and get out if high school.

This could be a decent place to eat if the staff was better. I received horrible service. Watched a waitress drink 5 redbulls then dance around weirdly. Too much play. Not professional at all. And cops have been coming in on a regular basis cause of Natasha Fife, a waitress. Maybe if they fired her and hired someone who was an adult I would have had a better experience.

I love old 56! The food is fantastic and Natasha and Brandi are two of the best waitresses around!!! AS are all the employees at old 56 :)

I have lived in Ottawa for almost 22 years now. Old 56 was a great place to have breakfast and sit around with friends and family.
A few years back a waitress that worked there stole a credit card from an old man. She was caught using it at multiple places around Lawrence, Ottawa, Pomona, and Topeka. Of course, Old 56 fired the waitress. I really did like coming here, but about a month ago when I stopped in for breakfast, I had the worst service I've ever had at any restaurant. The girl who had stole the credit card got re-hired. I called and made a complaint to the manager, and he replied, "we're keeping a good eye on her." I'm sorry, but I told him I will make sure people know of this story and don't eat there as long as they are going to employ a thief like her.
I don't want to pay for my meal and worry about her taking my card, writing my card number down and using it, or simply not putting my money in the register and keeping it for herself.
Go to another restaurant that employs good people, and spend your money there!! Or if you go there, at least request that you don't get served by Natasha Fife.

Found a nat on a pickle after eating my hamburger and all the manager could do is take 5.00 off the bill and his reason was ''people eat bugs, should have charged you extra'' would not recommend anyone eat at old 56 in ottawa kansas
