Top Reviews of County Cafe

The County Cafe is great! It is the Double Decker only better. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is the same. Nothing was changed accept that some new menu items were added. The suppliers are the same, the products are the same, the prep is just better.
We love the County Cafe and think that everyone should try it out and those who liked the double Decker should come back and try it again...A nice improvement.

This place is incredible. It is in the old building of the Double Decker. It is not the Double Decker it is clean, friendly, and an amazing place to bring family and friends. The County Cafe is the place to go.

I absolutely love County Cafe! The staff was so friendly, and the environment was laid back... a kind of place that doesn't come around often anymore. They have done a wonderful job renovating the restaurant. I find the food very delightful, and not overpriced at all... How is 5 dollars for a generous size sand which bad pricing???? Oh! And the best part is that now they have a regular size, and a super size double decker... the super-size was the original double decker when DD was there. This place is great and will continue seeing my face. Their Reuben and Spinach salad is to die for!! LOVE YOU COUNTY CAFE!

I also was a long time customer of Double Decker Cafe and they may have cleaned the place up but they sure can't clean up that lady or manager that they have in there now. Rude Rude Rude!! The food is not the same either.I think I would rather have the two old hag servers back!

I have to laugh at some of the reviews I see here I have been a long time customer at D Decker and the County Cafe I think what they have done with the place is amazing. New booths instead of those old chairs the place is so clean now and I think the food is better if thats even posable. I needed my BLT fix and always overlooked D Deckers short commings becouse of the great food.
I think you guys have done great things there keep it up see you soon.

We use to go to Double Decker.....we were sad when it closed but looked forward to the Cafe as it was advertised that the name would only change. Had one good sandwich (not quite as good as DD but okay). Last time we went there we ordered take out and noticed "BROWN LETTUCE" on the sandwiches which I ignored and threw away but all of us did not feel well after and had to send 2 employees home due to illness. Called to express concern and a "gal" argued that the lettuce was oxidated and they eat it all the time...is that even a word????? She compared it to an apple you cut and it goes brown 10 minutes later. It takes a lot for lettuce (pre prepared) to go brown. I am not going to pay for brown food. You guys are a shame!!!!!!!! What else are these guys letting go. Well, I have spread the word that the customers are not important and 5 plants in the area, 2,000 good potential ,steady bread making customers, WILL NOT pay for brown food and have agreed to BOY-COT YOU. Country Cafe....no more for you. Might want to check who answers your complaints. Boo......what a huge disappointment!!! What a shame!!!!!!! Sad!

I don't know who to be mad at - The Double Decker for leaving, or the "County Cafe" for stealing it's identity and ruining everything we loved about it. I loved going to the DDC. I got to know the people who worked there pretty well. It was one of the few places that still had that home style feel. Which is nice these days, and rarely seen. Now the place is pretentious and nowhere near as good. At first I thought maybe they just changed the name, but it didn't take long to realize thats not the case. Smaller portions, cheaper products, and higher prices! Not to mention a very unfriendly new staff. I drove by the other day and was very happy to see the parking lot empty. That wasn't a familiar site when DDC was there. It speaks for itself. Whatever the reason was for this, I hope they open another Double Decker. This County Cafe stuff has got to go!

The food has gone down hill after the Double Decker has closed down and county cafe took over. Now they are over priced, half the portion and the staff are about the unfriendliest people you will meet.

Great staff, excellent food, unbeatable prices!!! They are willing to cater and are incredible to work with (they catered for our wedding). Oh, and their saratoga chips and bbq sauce are the best around :)
