Two of us stopped in for lunch on Wednesday @ 1:00PM. Place was busy with counter help rushing through the orders.
We ordered a Manhattan sandwich, a Reuben Bro sandwich, and an order of french fries. Made sure that we ordered the fries by asking twice for an order of fries. Sandwiches were done in a few minutes, but we patiently waited at the deli counter for our order of french fries. @ 10 minutes later as our hot sandwiches are now becoming cold, we inquire about our missing order of french fries. We are told the fries order was never started and that it would take a few minutes to cook them. (Thanks for the timely response).
OK not wasting any more time for a second request for fries. We pick up a bag of chips to replace the elusive fries and a large fountain lemonade. The lemonade was watery and tasteless. Guess that's our fault for not sampling the drink before purchasing.
Paid for the order with a debit card. Waited for the cashier to print my receipt. The frown the cashier made when I asked for a receipt was priceless!
The Manhattan sandwich was very chewy and the Reuben Bro just so-so.
After seating and eating our incomplete lunch, I notice that a 3% fee was attached as a Non-Cash-Charge. There was no visible notice that a non-cash fee would be added.
Lesson learned. Screw me once, that's on the deli. Screw me twice, then that's on me. If your in the Melville area looking for a nice lunch, don't stop here.
