the slices are absolutely amazing here and the atmosphere is funky and laid back. the owners originate from new york city, and the pizza measures up to ny standards.
and a note to all of you bitching about not liking to wait on the phone to place an order, get off your lazy LA ass and go there yourself. try a true NYC experience for once, maybe.
all in all THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT! |

Bland and spongy, I have had pizza here in the past and it was quite good, but today it was possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. It was so bad it leads me to believe that Abbots has changed hands. |

there's only two abbots pizzas hun,and each with only four phone lines...
so there's no time for chit chatting about ingredients (over fifty) and flavors and recommedations... they get calls all the time..
so if u want to hear about recommendations then all customers are holding even longer to recommend and read the menu for u?
they r not going to do that.

Just called to place an order for pick-up. Got put on hold three times. I asked a woman which pizza of two different kinds she liked better, and she said "I can't recommend those." I said, "You can't recommend either?" She said, "I haven't eaten those" then she put me on hold for a third time. So I called a different pizza place an ordered with someone that seemed to actually WANT business. Abbot's needs to hire people who care, or they will lose lots of customers. It's a shame, because the pizza is actually at least average, which is great for LA. |

ordering BY PHONE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. LONG PHONE WAIT. VERY DISCOURAGING. I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD 7 MINUTES AND I DON'T LIKE TO WAIT. I AM STILL ON HOLD!!!
