Delicious roast beef Po-boy, order it "dressed" to eat in and bring your appetite. Try the banana split if you have any room left.

This place reminds me of the old 50's diner I used to go to as a kid. It's something great to see now a days. The food is wonderful and so is the service. Get yourself a banana split before you leave.

I want to thank everyone for the amazing reviews! As for out of towners, I assure you that we have a sign on the drive thru window now and if anyone is rude at anytime you must contact a manager. I apologize if you were not happy with the service at the drive thru. There is no excuse for rudeness but we are not allowed to take orders at the pick up window. I am a mother of 2 and I can sympathize with you. We have an amazing atmosphere at Buddy's and all is welcome!

The lady above, Lori, dosen't no how budd,s works. It s a call and pick up resturant not a fast food 'drive thru'. If that dosn't work for you, you go inside and order and eat. A dine in, simple delightful food.

I recently traveled from Baton Rouge to Morgan City with my two young children. After passing through the town of Gonzales, they both woke up from a nap, STARVING. I thought for certain, I'd pass someplace with drive thru service and halfway nutritious, decent food. After traveling 20-25 miles on rural highways with no place to stop, I was delighted to find Buddy's Drive In on Hwy. 70 in Pierre Part.
Something other than typical chain food. I pulled to the drive thru window hoping to order 2 kids meals... something simple like hotdogs. The girl at the window absolutely refused to take my order! She rudely said I'd have to come inside to order food. Obviously she doesn't know how hard it is to unload 2 kids under the age of 3. If orders can't be placed at the drive thru window, I suggest the owner put a sign in the window saying, "CLOSED." Or maybe if his employees continue to treat customers so rudely and enough people boycott the place, he can shut down entirely.

A welcoming site to the area! ... the roast beef is MOUTHWATERING good! ...and the banana splits are a close 2nd ! ...Staff is friendly and wait 'area ' is clean... looking forward to rumors being confirmed about the 'wait time ' being shortened.
