Came here when "the other place" was packed. Waitress was really really friendly, place is very relaxing and nice, and the food is very good. Someone at my table ordered fried chicken livers, something I"d never have thought to order, and they were AWESOME.

Best food this side of my YiaYia.

Started with Grape Leaves appetizer and their combination of dips. Very, good. Baked Lamb Garnish for entree was incredibly tender and moist. Didn't have room for dessert, but split a bakalva anyway.

A must-stop place for anyone in Lowell.

Familywas there for Lowell Folk Festival the final weekend in July and were told by others it was the best Greek Restaurant in New England. They had a tent outside that was serving spanakopita, bakalva and kabobs to festival goers. The spanakopita and baklava we sampled in the afternoon were so good we decided to go back for dinner.

The place was packed and we had to wait about half an hour to be seated. Unfortunately they don't have much of a bar/lounge area, so the wait seemed like forever. However once we were seated, it proved worth the wait. The Lamb and Chicken kabobs were out of this world. The Lentil soup was also very good. I liked it much better than my wife and son's egg-lemon. The service was surprisingly good considering how crazy it was. There was a wawiting line the entire time we were there.

The long wait ended up being a blessing in disguise because we got to hear the live greek band for a bit. Iit's the same band the festival hired to do their greek music, so we weren't surprised at how good they sounded. We also got to see the bellydancer and give her a couple of dollars. The poor girl looked like she needed a break after dancing in that heat. While the building is old and could really use a freshening up, the entertainment and fantastic food made the atmosphere top notch in my mind.

Very highly recommended!

the food was nothing special. we had the chicken and garnish. the place is old and smells funny. the waitress took a long time and the soft drinks are tiny. not sure if we would go back.

Excellent food and value for your $$. Atmosphere and decor sort-of "dated"

Parking
We (Me, my wife and our two daughters (10 &13 years old). We got there @ 5:00 on a Saturday and were able to park right in their parking lot. I don't know about other days/times but I don't think parking would be a problem. There seems to be enough on street parking, but I'm not familiar enough with the area to be sure.

Comfort
The chairs were uncomfortable and the tables were small (difficult to manage to find a place for all the food). I read somewhere that renovations were coming because it could not be kept at a comfortable temperature. We went in July and it was a little on the warm side but acceptable.

Service
At first the service was good. The waitress came by quickly and got us drinks. We had water right away and was refilled as needed. However as we were trying to leave it seemed the waitress started to get too busy (even though it was not yet fully crowded). When I finally got her attention it still took her a while to finalize the bill (a very manual process). It's only been this once but I could see service being a problem if it was crowded.

Food
I am not a Greek food expert, but I though the food was very good. They had a spaghetti and meatballs option that one of my children ordered and another ordered the spanakopita. They both loved it. My wife and I ordered a few appetizers to share instead of a dinner. All the food was very good.

Atmosphere
This seems like a neighborhood and family restaurant. Some people seemed to know each other. It seemed very authentic.

Overall it was a positive experience although far from perfect. I guess the real question is would I go back again and the answer is yes I would.

Went for the first time with another couple that frequents the place. Told us they were in business for over thirty years. Now we know why.

Moussaka was to die for. I'm not as daring as my girlfriend, so the plan was to try hers. I ended up eating half of it. She wanted to kill me. I ordered Chicken kabob that was all breast and fantastically marinated. They sell and bottle their own greek dressing. Best I've had. Brought a bottle home with us.

Night was topped off by us learning to greek dance. This lady that I guess always goes there dragged us up on the dance floor and we didn't sit down the rest of the night.

I understand they are renovating and expanding sometime soon. Can't wait!

Went to lunch and had some of the worst food I have ever tasted. The restaurnant needs a major overhaul. It is old and musty. The smell of the carpet alone should have been an indicator.

Excellent food (Lamb Ka-bob and Moussaka were fantastic the night we went) and the atmosphere is awesome. Live music and bellydancing, people were up dancing all night. The best part is, it's so cheap my wife and I only spent about $50 with a bottle of wine included in that!
