I LOVE Open Mic nite at Brew'd Awakening. The coffee is great, the sandwich menu is unique and delicious, and the crowd is the best Lowell has to offer. Personally, I find the staff to be outstandingly helpful and friendly as well!

From the outside, the Brew'd Awakening seems like a hip, fun and interesting place to buy coffee and meet some people. However, this is not the case. The food is great, don't get me wrong, but the service is dreadfully slow and rude. One counter girl can usually be heard shouting profanity or talking about how messed up she was at some concert while customers are in line. I've heard remarks about employees smoking marijuana on the job as well, something that doesn't surprise me seeing how long it takes them to get my order. Take one look at the floors, how can you not sweep at least once a week?
Andy- reconsider your younger staff members, and keep the place a little more tidy, then business could potenitally pick up.

For all those interested in going out for a nice time by all means this is the place to go. Just look for the yellow awnings and the cafe tables in the front and by all means you won't be disappointed. As a matter of fact more like pleasantly surprised at the cheerful staff and service the the food and coffee or tea or awesome smoothies will surely satisfy you! And tell "Andy" that Paul sent you!

This place is awesome. I've been waiting for a good coffee shop to come into Lowell for a long time.
-- Awesome espresso (they use gimme! espresso -- awesome!) and coffee
-- Free Wireless!
-- Great Belgian waffles
-- Unique and delicious Sandwiches (think avocado, sun dried tomatoes, hummus, ...)
-- Cool and eccentric staff
-- Local Artwork showings
-- Cheap prices!
What more could I ask for in a coffee shop. I wish it were around when I was attending classes UMass Lowell.
