Who cares if there's an automatic 18% gratuity on the tea room or with 6 people or more...the food is amazing, the service is amazing, and most of all the experience (especially sitting at the table where they cook the food in front of you) is absolutely fantastic. It's one of my favorite places to go for a special occasion being that it's just so different.

The wife and I eat here once a month, the food is good and you get quite a bit for the prices. I had to check, but it says right on the main men 18% tip is included with partys of 6 or more. People who do not read well should have heir review privledges revoked.

Beware! If you use the tea room, they will add an 18% gratuity automatically, even if you only order sushi. Nowhere is this policy stated on the sushi menu, nor did our waitress inform us of this verbally. No problem if they tell you they're doing this ahead of time, but we were not told and consequently added another 20% tip to the $105 bill when we paid--we paid $125 for an $85 tab. Furthermore, the "tip" line was blank on our receipt, which is where we added $20. When we discovered the mistake an hour later and phoned to inquire, they did return the extra $20. But normally, as a courtesy, any decent waitress would inform you of this policy but ours definitely zipped her lip and tried to scam us by hiding the extra gratuity in the "total including tax" line on the cash register receipt. Good thing we double checked.
