I am from out of town and was told about this place and that it was good. Decided to try it tonight for supper. Glad I did! They were a little slow but that was only due to some difficult customers. Food was excellent! Hot, more than you can even eat, waitress was extremely polite and went out of her way to do whatever was needed. The hostess is VERY polite and friendly. She actually knew I was in town the previous week only because she came in to where I was working and recognized me from my hair---amazing memory! Will definitely come back!

WORST PLACE EVER. From the moment we walked in we shouldn't have stayed to give this place a shot! We stood there for about 3 minutes until the cook (who was awkwardly glancing at us every few seconds finally came up and handed us menus and silverware and told us go have a seat. We had two different waitresses, orders were screwed up, floors were disgustingly dirty! Will never go here again!

Standard diner fare, but the host is really nice, remembers you after one visit, and always has a nice thing to say to my kids.
Food is good, not amazing, but consistent. In Madison, that is saying something. Service is great for Madison.

I live in Monona and love this place for its take-out possibilities.. The Friday fish fry is the most fun. They are prompt with the orders and weirdly generous as well.
It is a comfortable breakfast place too. The waiters that have helped us were adorably polite and patient with our visiting.
I like this place a lot. It is less expensive than Culver's!!

The manager is really belligerent and some of the staff are as well. We just had a post-funeral meal there for a family member who was a loyal customer. The service was TERRIBLE - the waitress was rude and truly unpleasant. It ruined our day which was already terrible for us. They were lazy; never even came back to offer us drinks, coffee (we had to pour it ourselves), or dessert. Never ONCE said anything to us about our family member.
On top of that, several of us were sick for two days after the meal. We have contacted the local health department to start an investigation. There are plenty of other places you should go to for a meal...do NOT go here or risk wasting your money!!!

My friend and I go here all the time for breakfast. The staff is kind and sincere and they allow us to chat and bring us endless supplies of coffee. We couldn't imagine meeting anywhere else. The prices are right and the owner even goes out of his way to talk to you while you are there.
