Wow! I'm shocked by some of these reviews. Are they written by 2 year olds? Anyway, the southeast Asian food here is great. Some aren't used to REAL Asian food, hence all the ignorant comments, but the SE asian food is wonderful, especially the Hmong eggrolls. The Chinese food served here is okay, but I prefer their SE Asian foods. Enjoy!

firstly, the smell of the place drives you crazy..was it fish sauce or somebody's smelly feet. the food was alright (not too good) service was ok. Finally, the smell. Avoid this place.

taste of asia is an original, different kind of asian buffet. the owners are hmong, and they feature several of their native dishes, in addition to food from china, laos, vietnam, thialand and cambodia. they are not afraid to use spices, resulting in food that is interesting, sometimes hot, and never boring. several are vegetarian. i have been to most of the asian (mostly chinese) buffets in madison, and this is by far my favorite.

This place is exceptional! Quite a surprise, too, if you walk in expecting the usual Chinese buffet fare--in place of the usual insipid vegetables and bland stir frys, there are dishes of flavorful curries and wonderful pad thai. The spring rolls and curry egg rolls are to die for! Also, very vegetarian friendly. It's one of my favorite places to take friends in Madison.

We went there hoping to get 3 different kinds of dumplings, and it took them 30 minutes to put out even one type, and only two of them, and they tasted like a rotten deep fried gerbil. Do not eat at this place unless you want to feel like you have to go on a killing spree afterwards because you will be so upset over the 11.50 you just spent when you could have had the same experience dining out at a garbage dump picking through trash for a meal. The tapioca looks like a booger stew, and their custard looks like they froze some rotten green yogurt and put it in a pan. You can barely hear the music and the place is always dead so all you can hear are your own thoughts about killing yourself for eating at this place, which adds to its misery. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this place. Real nice employees though.

I didn't actually physically eat here because it looked completely and utterly disgusting, but I did sit at the table while my compadres "ate." I will say that the management is top notch and extraordinarily friendly. The foul smell of a fish tank welcomes you and invites you to dine into its absurdly thin buffet. The food really is *gRoSs*

Excellent food and friendly service. The buffet is really, really good.
