We found a great restaurant in Maine.

We had to go to Georgetown to pick up a package. Driving from Camden
my husband and I decided to eat in
Bath since most restaurants in Camden were closed, or doing only take out, because of the corona-19 virus. As my husband drove, I called the restaurants that we know in Bath, and to my dismay, most were closed or only doing take out. Continuing south on Rt-1, we pass the gray weathered building, on our right, “restaurant”
As our stomach call out, now it is 1:45PM, we make a quick u-turn in between the traffic wizzing by. Pulling into the parking lot we realize it was a restaurant we had eaten in three years ago and never had a need to return. Looking at each other, we agreed “how bad could it be” Really....“HUNGER” it’s called. I pushed him out of the car, with our masks on, we enter and request a seat at the bar....we love Maine Breweries enjoying a beer with lunch is always a pleasure. Our lovely hostess stated that they are expecting a party of eight, reserved for the bar and due to the virus, we could wait until the others finished their lunch for
proper seating. She sat us at a comfortable and cozy table near the bar to wait for the bar seating. Amelia, our waitress,a real doll, was prompt, bringing the “Irish-Red Brews” we ordered.

The menu had quite a selection - far
beyond the typical hamburgers, fried fish dishes, lobster rolls, mac and
cheese, you usually see. My husband
ordered the Corned-Beef Reuben and
optided for a salad instead of French Fries. The sandwich came on a white
plate that had a rim around it. The sandwich, well stacked, looked to be 7” thick. The salad was with fresh lettuce, cucumber tomatoes and carrots. It was NOT skimpy, or wilted looking as the normal mixed greens that you imagine someone pulling out of bag. All looked like it came out of your garden FRESH, and washed. I see why it was served in a rimed dish, a good idea for a generous portions. My husband said the Corned-Beef was excellent, melted in your mouth, not chewy and didn’t not stick in your teeth. A, possible rival, to the great Corned-Beef, you got at the “Stage Deli, in Manhattan, before they closed.

I ordered the Cast-Iron Seared Salmon. It came in a brown bowl with
the salmon placed on a bed of Orozo.
My first bite was the salmon - cooked to perfection; it was - not to dry nor
undercooked. The orozo with suddel hints of tarragon and small pieces of feta was a wonderful compliment to the salmon. The veggies were large slices of yellow and green summer squash NOT layered with onions, peppers, salt or any strong spice. It all blended together, a melody of mouth watering flavors, only to leave a very pleasing gastric satisfaction with each morsel and mouthful.

We decided to splurge and go for dessert. It boiled down to blueberry
crisp with vanilla ice cream. We were not disappointed. There was NO denying that you were eating Maine blueberries sweetened by their natural
juices, void of any added sugar.

It was a wonderful and satisfying experience then our previous time
there. It became obvious that the restaurant changed owners with
the renovations in the dining room...
the large ugly picnic tables replaced
by tables each had intimated settings for four. The harsh lighting now replaced with light streaming in from the bay window, also soft lighting was added over the tables. No detail to small was neglected. The dishware to the fine silverware which had a slight curve to the handles allowing for easy holding. It was a truly great lunch that for the first time we didn’t mind paying our bill.

People Forget Reds, waiting on line, wearing a mask in the hot sun, for a
$20.00 or more lobster roll.!! No Thanks.

The chef and owner of MONTSWEAG
FARM RESTAURANT has hands blessed by the Culinary Gods.
He’s a God sent for Woolwich.

Today was our 24th Anniversary and we have always loved the food and my husband loves the steak. Today of all days - the steak was ordered med. came out raw sent mine back came back raw - was offered something else on the menu.... Figured I could't go wrong with a chicken Cesar salad wrong - the chicken was a full breast sliced in 2 !!! Pieces and pink and bleeding! Omg I know it's for sale but we have supported you thru the years - never again. Needless to say I asked was it a new cook yes! Ps the waiter was great and empathetic which was really needed today of all days
