We decided to eat at Lulu's on a Sunday evening since our favorite place, Toonies was closed for the night. What a horrible mistake! It didn't seem crowded and when I asked a worker if they were busy, she said no.
We were seated promptly but that was the last thing that was prompt. It took forever for us to see a waitress. Another 10 minutes to get some water and order and then I have to wonder why we stayed because it took a full hour and 15 minutes to get our food from the time we walked in. On top of that, my son's order was wrong. No explanation or anything. We asked to see a manager but some girl came by and told us our son's meal would be free. I can tell you that the rest of our meal was just OK, nothing special. Certainly not worth the wait.
We will never visit this restaurant again and advise all others to stay away. One of the worst dining experiences of my life and the lowlight of our vacation in Bellaire.

My husband and I did a fall color tour through Northern Michigan. One of our stops was in Bellaire where I spent many summers as a kid. A local business owner suggested LuLu's Bistro and it was fabulous! Best meal of the entire trip. I loved the atmosphere, the spinach salad and of course the company!

Not only a great restaurant for Northern Michigan; One of our favorite restaurants ANYWHERE! Very hip, urban atmosphere, innovative, flavorful food.
