Realy tasty food great ice cream and Gelato

The Sweet Shop is a DISASTER! From the passive aggressive owners who SHOULD NEVER be in the service industry. Or the kid behind the counter who managed to screw up a chocolate sundae order three times before finally throwing the glass on the floor and storming out the front door. The entire time I was in the shop I kept looking around to find the hidden TV cameras thinking I must've been on a reality prank show because there was no way this place could operate this way if they wanted return customers. The service was laughable, the atmosphere downright creepy and the overall vibe felt like a sinking ship. I was just grateful I didn't bring my kids in because they didn't need to hear a bunch of four letter words and witness the owners' tantrums towards each other and their customers. They even shortchanged me by a buck and when I noticed I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of going back in. Avoid this place.

Best soup in town--or country! Excellent service. Really good sandwiches. Cake to die for. Oh, yes, and they also have great ice cream, sorbet, and chocolates.

Never again. Gave this place a couple of chances. Seems hit or miss on whether the staff is in a good mood that day or not. Reminds me of Amy's Bakery from that kitchen nightmares show.

Felt uncomfortable. Owner gave off creepy vibes. Employees seemed mad. Won't go back.

This place is beautifully restored and I had the absolute BEST sandwich of my life from here. Absolutely 💯 delicious.

I live in Chicago and Willamette the drive back for another.

If you enjoy watching the staff fist fight and chase each other out of the restaurant then this is the place for you. Unsafe experience. Will never go back.

First of all, the place is beautifully restored. So pretty, and I love that they serve some food along with the ice cream and sorbets. My girlfriend and I shared a pizza and then saved room for some sorbet. The owner was quite pleasant and even gave us some free chocolates. So glad to have the “Sweet Shop” back!

review_stars 03/02/2022 - Terrible employee
The owners son assisted me while trying to order a milkshake. Aside from his abrasive and combative attitude, he insulted the way I wanted a milkshake with strawberry ice cream and not strawberry syrup. Told me that it wasn’t a milkshake. Has the personality of an inmate with a chip on his shoulder. No business in future customer service employment. The shop is nice but Marz was a place to be bc of the sweet kind lady who loved her town. The owners are designers not restaurant owners.
