We decided to try this restaurant as it is close to our home. From the outside, it looked nice and clean. When we entered, we tried the buffet. We have eaten at many buffets, some are excellent, many are good, then there are the ones that one visit was more than enough. We were disappointed to discover our visit to Sunrise Chinese Restaurant was not very good. The food was not fresh on the buffet, they did not change anything out and appeared to be waiting for more people to enter before they might place more food on the buffet. A couple of the items were empty when we arrived, and continued to be empty until we left. The lady operating the restaurant was talking on her mobile phone the entire time we were there, and the only time she seemed alert to anything or anyone was when people got up to pay. She provided no attention to the buffet, nor to needs of the customers. The gentleman who was working in the restaurant asked us what we wanted to drink (which this Chinese restaurant charges extra for, most include the drink with the buffet price), then disappeared so no refills of soft drink or water. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, definitely overpriced for what was provided, offered, and serviced. For the same price, we continue to go to the other, better, Chinese restaurants in the metropolitan area. It is worth the drive to get to them, for the better food, fresher product, nicer service, and good atmosphere.
