When they first opened their food was outstanding. My husband and I ate their at least once a week. Now we find that we never know what we will get. Scorched sauce, hard meatballs, so much crushed red pepper that you can not eat it (and this was in the pasta con broccoli). Their house salads were awesome! Now they have old wilted lettuce and a very tiny amount. We are very disappointed to lose our very favorite Italian place to eat!!
Also, Grace, wife/owner is no longer patient and friendly. She just finds the closest employee and tells them to help you. What a shame. We recommended this restaurant to every one we know, now we let them know it is not a place to go any more. So sad.

On a rainy weekend day, just a short time after they open at this location,(on the recommendation of a co-worker that "if you love good italian food" you have to try this place) I stop by just as they were opening (around 1:00pm). Grace met me at the door (she always has a smile and warm look in her eyes) seated me and took my order. (I was the only customer) I ordered house salad, pasta, garlic bread and a sandwich to go. Grace made me feel so comfortable and before long sat at the table with me and told me the history of the business.
I just loved the food and it was such a friendly warm atmosphere.
I have returned there ever since. I took my best friend, my daughter in law (both for lunch) my grandchildren (birthday), when my husband and I married we had our party of 12 there for a celebration dinner, for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and each year for our anniversary.
The food is absolutely amazing (Giuseppe always visits your table to make sure) , the atmosphere is so quaint, the service is personal. Who knew you could have all this in Imperial, Mo. Make reservations now. You will love it as much as we do.
