Called an order for take out. Blt and bacon burger. Coleslaw was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The bun for the burger was brunt. Great experience not

Disaster! Terrible experience. My wife and I live in Trimble, Mo; about ten miles from Gower. On Sunday, Oct. 28th, my brother and his wife, visiting from southern KC, wanted to try a "country style" restaurant. We suggested The Daily Café, having dined there a couple of times before. The "special" was fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. We waited a while but told ourselves fried chicken takes longer if they cook it upon order. When we finally got our food, everything was cold! We each got two very small over-cooked pieces of chicken (wing and thigh). My wife asked for white meat and received one small piece with a very small wing. The mashed potatoes were cold, had far too much sour cream in them with very cold gravy. The green beans were very stringy and also cold. We complained to our very young waitress who didn't seem surprised. She said "I'll let them know" and that was the last we heard. My wife couldn't eat but a few bites. My sister-in-law wanted to refuse to pay. We decided to simply never return. As we left, I noticed the couple across from us returning their food to the waitress and shaking their heads. We should have done the same but were pressed for time. We won't be back!!
