Love this place. All of the hard to find specialty cooking spices, pastas, oils , rubs, all things pickled, cured meats, etc. Great custom made sandwiches and deli. Super friendly staff. As everyone knows, Buttions are the friendliest people in the state. Go visit them. It's worth stop.

Awesome place lots of food you can't find anywhere else in town! Huge hot sauce section, highly recommend!

I spent 4 years in Butte while in school This place has a lot to offer; however, it also is a very "Traditional" Butte feel. The store has amazing products tucked away and some very knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, it also has many problems coming to terms with modern society. If you are willing to forage through the credit card errors and look beyond the nostalgic, then it is THE place to shop. I HAVE had errors in accounting while shopping here, but I ALWAYS look forward to returning when I'm back in Butte. It is a fantastic place, but one must be aware and vigilant. Oh, the Gorgonzola cheese tip is to die for.

We have made this a regular stop going from washington state to wyoming-- we've always had great service -tho i'll admit sometimes you have to hunt someone down to get it--

the jarred pickled vegies are wonderful, love the dilly beans and brussel sprouts! the dried pasta selection is terrific and their fresh pasta is too- we bring a cooler with us so we can take it home with us, along with the gorgonzola cheese dip!

I have been going to the Front Street market for years. It is a destination for me, as I live 70 miles from this market. I have always found treasures there. A new find each time I go. I once bought $300.00 worth of items and baskets to put them in for gifts....forgot the baskets, and they had someone deliver them to me in the town I live. That is great and friendly service.

THe food in their deli is homemade and delicious. I would say if you have a bad experience at the Front Street Market, it is your own fault.

I love the set up of the store and it's products but the service is far from friendly and in addition to this we where ripped off at check out. I am from Holland and live in Missoula, we went to the market to see what kind of European goods they had to offer. When I walked in I got a crappy remark about my colorful summer dress. I should have left but was there and wanted to shop. Found some dutch pickles, various candy, some cookies and picked out some nice looking asparagus. Standing at the check out I again received some remarks about my outfit. The pickles where marked $1.69 and the person who helped us (I presume the owner) was upset about this and said that that must be the wrong price, they must have made a mistake when pricing hem. I told him, I don't know they are all priced like that. My husband paid and when we left the store I wondered how we ended up paying more then $31.00. As we only received a Credit Card receipt I could not check the actual receipt. I went back in and mentioned that something seemed incorrect. The person who helped us before(I presumed the owner)was very rude, did not show me the receipt and said that I could get my money back and started counting out some money and making a scene. I felt absolutely embarrassed and we declined the refund, apologized for the confusion and left the store. Later on I looked at the pickles and the expiration date was 2006, at home I weight the candy and added up the groceries and found out that we where charged almost 4 dollars more then it should have been.

It was altogether a very unpleasant experience and I will never go back.
