Bad experience
One of The owner Relatives was very nasty to me an he is most of the time,he was also disrespectful to the cashier as well after he made a verbal mistake, mine you now the person who packs the food tella the cashier what to ring up, so the idiot said quote ' ring her up for a 2 piece dinner, now he did say it wrongly,but just instead of just saying he was wrong an moving on,he got cocky an said you owe me 6 more dollars an had a very bad attitude
I immediately requested my funds back.

he went on an on on how he get blessed out everyday my view is
Very bad customer service 😑 just no structure wen it come to some of the employees an I mean the owner Relatives..

You get it. The guy that's an owner or relative of an owner is rude af. Food is usually decent to good but I mainly go for vegetables. He turned me off and I go much less frequently. If I see he's there, I keep on trucking.

I come to Mo Better Chicken on Sunday October 17, 2021. I ordered Oxtails, collards, and black eye peas, while fixing the Oxtails I told the server to give me little the Oxtails, she ignored me, so when I got to the counter I asked again for the smaller ones, she tell me all of them the same, I replied I am a cook and you do not know how stuff taste to me. However, when I got back to work she had given me yams instead of black eye peas. Sometime in a customer service position, there is a point of professionalism, and not being just straight out ghetto because you are serving food.

I parked in front of the restaurant and I could see the server from my car. First of all she had on no mask or gloves while serving the food. Then she touched her nose with her bare hand then proceeded to pick up the serving spoon. Then she kept flicking her hair with her hand over the food. NASTY!!! I drove off.

The line was out the door but you didn’t have a long wait. The food is really good. The best chicken and Mac and cheese is so good.

I love the candied yams and dressing but the rating is a concern.

The fried chicken is always dry and leaves a funny after taste in your mouth. Tastes kind of like dishwashing detergent. The staff is very friendly

I have worked in customer service for more than 30 years and I couldn't believe how rude I was just treated in this place.
I walked in and a lady was serving another customer. As I stood there waiting, a light skinned man with nasty looking hair on his face and an apron on came to the counter and just looked at me. I smiled and told him that this was my first visit there. He just looked at me and said what do you want. Well, I was still smiling and asked if their chicken was made to order. He asked what kind and I said fried. He pointed at a pan with a few pieces of dried fried chicken and he said I have some coming up. I said ok fine, meaning I would take the fresh chicken. I asked for a breast and two wings. This guy started giving me the old chicken as one of the cooks was bringing out the fresh chicken. I told the light complexion guy that I didn't want the old chicken. He rolled his eyes at me and said when I told you more was coming, you said that's fine. I told him I meant fine I would wait. He walked away from me at the counter and I walked out empty handed.

I am wondering how many customers have walked away because of this type of attitude. Today we are celebrating Dr. M. L. King, Jr. birthday and you would think that we would have learned to treat each other with respect if nothing else. Well Mo Better Chicken what goes up much come down and you never know who you will meet on that journey.

If this person is not the owner, I hope you don't let this person ruin your business.

I was greeted as soon as I came in and the staff was very patient with me as it was my first time eating there. I decided on some fried fish, mac, and greens. Everything was seasoned well. Good food and a pleasant environment is always a plus...and to think I almost didn't go based on others reviews. I'm so glad that I went to check it out for myself.

I have never had a bad experience here. The best baked chicken and oxtails. Although they could give you a little more oxtails! Love it. Everyone is polite in there.

As most customers stated, the food is GREAT, but the customer service is ATROCIOUS, APPALLING, and TERRIBLE!!!!!! The light skinned man told my daughter today that she was wasting his "DAMN SODA" because she emptied the fuzz off the top of her drink... I have seen many of restaurant workers pour off the fuzz and refill the cup until it�s filled with soda, beer or whatever liquid the customer is buying. But not MO BETTER CHICKEN, this business will curse you out if you dare waste the fuzz! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHUT THIS BUSINESS DOWN! THEY FEEL THAT BECAUSE THEY'RE IN THE HOOD CUSTOMERS DON'T DESEREVE THEIR RESPECT.

After reading there reviews, I had to check them out for myself and I must say In all my years of secret shopping this was a great experience, great food, great service, I think if anyone have a bad experience in this business they may just be having a bad :)

The food was good the owners son is very rude I never had any instances with him personally but I have witnessed him and other customers on several occasions. I was turned off when one day he was sweating profoundly and wiped his forehead slinging his nasty seat into the food. If he did that in my presence imagine what he does when he is alone. Needless to say I went from eating there often to never again.

True the food is good but when it comes to customer service the owner and her sons they have no respect for they customers they are rude and plus they are rude to their employees I hear people say they are clean if you look around carefully you will see some areas. If they only have respect for they selves and customers they can be a big hit business but they dont have any cummunication skills and it looks like they are losing more than gaining.

First off, the restaurant is clean. Who needs a Menu? Just point to what you want on your plate and the server will put it on the plate. They have tender baked chicken fried Chicken or fish. Its all delicious just wash it down with some of their tasty red Kool-aid or lemonade. I cannot forget the sweet potato pie mmmm mmm mmm soo good.

I used to go to this restaurant quite often when it was located off of Campbelton Road. Now that it is in Decatur, I have to travel a little farther to get to it, but the food is as good as I remembered. The staff at the Decatur location were much friendlier than the staff at the Campbelton Road location so maybe the owner was listening to his patrons regarding the customer service issues. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Mo Better's new location in Decatur and would definitely go back again.

The food was pretty good, but I've given this place 4 chances with the rude servers. NEVER will me or my church family attend. I used to tell the people to go there after service, because we were having an early service, but they are SO RUDE, and COLD...We will just support the (other race) across the street. I wanted to support the black owned restaurant, but it seems impossible.

The food is wonderful! Staff is much more friendly from the past times referenced in the reviews. Where else can you get hot fresh 6 pcs of chicken for $4.99? I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves soul food at it's best!

The food is OK and decent however the rude, nasty, cold people behind the counter serving the food should be sent to Customer Service and Food Services Training before they continue to ruin the owners business. The young man with the slim build and light complexion along with brown skinned young lady with the big eyes... either one of them shouldn't be working with the public; they should stay in the back prepping and frying the fish; they don't have people skills. I will never step foot into that restaurant again; I have given it several tries and attempted to call the owner however there are problems with the phone lines. Customer Service is very important; even in the hood. Owner, please don't let those people continue to ruin your business.
