This establishment has two locations. I frequent the Rockaway Avenue & Atlantic Avenue location. The food is great most of the time like your mamas cooking. Then some days you know someone different cooked. The problem is people do not appreciate inconsistency's and If they cant get it right they will not be in business long. You can not have a menu and run out of the items people request. On a busy night they had no dessert, ran out of mac & cheese,potato salad and waffles. This is the problem with Black folks. The Chinese restaurant will never run out of anything on their menu.

Magic Soul food has the best soul food in NY. The food is amazingly good. The portions were great and the price is right. You really get a lot for your money. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who want a good plate of soul food. 5 stars.

If you're looking for 100% PURE SOUL FOOD, Magic Soul Food is where you must go. I have tried just about everything on the menu and it's all delicious! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff is great! Try this place and you will not be disappointed.

I went there sat I called a order in and it was great. The food was ready when i got there and the
service was good no waiting and the food was the best to me in brooklyn.

Food is terrific. However, my 2 times their were Friday, 2/12/2010 and today, 2/20/2010 and each of those experiences were NOT good.
The first time, I spent $52.05 for take-out and they missed my side order of mac and cheese. Today, I waited an hour and 14 minutes for an order of fried chicken and baked chicken.
