They didn't wear a mask or gloves while preparing sandwich. He yelled and belittled us when asked about gloves.

Whoever thought this was a NY Deli must never have been to NY ...maybe the owner is from NY but the menu is not. I went in for lunch they had no bagels , cream cheese, , lox or any of the other items one would expect to find in a NY deli.I ended up with a tuna fish salad sandwich which was good . they actually included a slice of pickle.
but the place did not make me say "I'll be back". I want to find a real NY style Deli in Chattanooga This was not it!

My husband and I both love this place! I even craved it during pregnancy. Everyone is always very friendly and accommodating when we eat in, and the service is quick and convenient when we order to go.

I called Nicks Deli tonight prior to driving to Deli to pick up an item; was told by associate closing time was 6:30pm. Upon arrival at 6:15pm, the business was closed for the night. Please enforce stated hours, this was very inconvenient, poor customer service.

Nick's Deli is one of the most flavor able delis in Chattanooga. There service is great, and they are nice friendly people. Unlike the person who commented before me there has been a time there water was messed up due to a water main that busted up the road in which they suggested to buy a bottle of water instead of getting water from tap due to it being cloudy. Also one time there coke machine water button was messed up and they were waiting on the Coca Cola Company to come fix it so they suggested you get a bottle of water or it would have to come from there regular sink water. YOU HAD THE CHOICE. What you decide has nothing to do with the great food and service of that deli. I give Nick and his staff two thumbs up. Never a disappointment. I would recommend everyone to try Nick's Deli for a great Reuben, the best in town well that's my opinion anyways.

I did not go to nick's for the drinks, as the person who wrote before me did. It is a sandwich shop and they do that VERY well. Delicious. I highly recommend it

Such a shame...
Nick's deli is probably the most flavorful deli in the Chattanooga area. But his level of service ranges from minimal to insulting.
When asked for ice water, Nick's will provide a glass of water, half full and drawn from the same tap where employees wash their hands. The customer is then expected to add ice from the Coke fountain. At the Coke fountain, the customer may notice a tab for water, but it has been disabled.
As a returning customer, today I was informed that the tap water was too cloudy to serve. I was further informed that to drink water with my meal (already $9.00) I could purchase a bottle from the cooler for $1.39 in addition to my total.
