Super fast service, great food and friendly wait staff. We will be returning often.

To. Mr Paul Stieler,

On Sunday the 9th of June I chose to have a 50th Birthday for my daughter at Harbor Bay, the reason being that we both have eaten there many times and have enjoyed the food and the service. I called before and talked to the manager to make reservations for twelve people for the Sunday affair. I told her then that we would be having the chicken dinner and we would be arriving about 11:30 am.
On that day we gathered in the back room, which provided the privacy we wanted, and group ordered drinks consisting mostly of iced tea. We then ordered our food, which was mostly chicken, with one exception who ordered a chef salad. The server brought in our salads which we very good. After some time she brought in the chicken and ask if it would be all right with those who ordered the half that she serve a quarter now and the other later as they had not thawed out enough to fill the entire order. We told her that it would be ok. We then began to notice that the chicken she had served was very over cooked, to the point where some was not edible and others was very dry. It was plain to see that it had been cooked in too hot of oil in the deep fryer. Two of our guest didn't eat their food because of being too dry and had to leave, the server said she would not charge them. After sitting for some time waiting for the remainder of the chicken we decided
to cancel the remaining and only pay for a quarter. I went to the kitchen to tell the server not to bring the rest of the order and she said it had just came out. She seemed upset at that point. I told her the other chicken was not to our liking and didn't want try any more.
I returned to the table and soon she came back there with the cake
my granddaughter had baked for my daughter. She left it and didn't even offer to bring plates and forks to eat it with. By this time I was very disappointed with the whole affair and asked to speak to the manger,
The manager came back and apologized for the meal and ask what she could do to remedy the situation. I told her I felt like the whole check should be discounted. She didn't agree to that. One of our guest kept interrupting and I ask him to stop, but it seems the manager and him had other words and she left the checks for us to pay. She told him she "Felt sorry for his children at home". Not something a manager should say to a customer.
To close out this story I want you to know I support local businesses and I especially like Harbor Bay, but I'm afraid I probably wont be returning. If it is going to remain open on the northwest side of town you need to look into why the fryer is over cooking the food and the food in general. I do not condone abuse but the paying customer is always right and manager should never talk down to them.

Thank you for reading this,
