From the time we arrived on a Friday night at 7:30 it was a bad experience. At 9:45 she finally brought us our checks, it took OVER TWO HOURS to be seated, order, and get our food.

the menus even say to expect a 30-60 minute wait and they mean it and then some. the food was good, but not two hour wait good. I recommend avoiding this place, it’s overrated.

Our first impression was not great, I don't think I'd go back due to the raw steak served not just to me but my brother as well. He was looking forward to a good steak but sent it back, the steak on salad I ordered was red and raw and not medium well. The honesty is what I did appreciate, told the cook stated, she want paying attention. This is huge for a consumer who saves to have a night out, and ends up not able to eat anything. The manager cleared our bill, but not sure I'll go back, it felt dark and cold. Something was odd here but locals seem to love it.

Just picked up take out. No employees were wearing masks.... Not the servers or cooks. I was appalled. I don’t feel safe eating food prepared this way.
We are in a pandemic!

The food is great every time that we go there. The restaurant is clean and the service is always good. The dinner portions are very satisfying. When I see a review that someone is dissatisfied, I have to believe that this is someone that nobody can make HAPPY! We go way out of our way to go

The Brown Lantern Has Some of the best cooked food in Florida, their Popcorn Shrimp is UnBelievable,,,I have eaten shrimp from Sarasota Florida to The Beaches in Virginia, those shrimp are second to NONE...If you dont like their popcorn shrimp you don't know what perfectly prepared shrimp taste like. Oh, by the way, I won 5 cooking trophies in two year with Memphis in May out of Memphis Tennessee, so I know how to cook:) Go to the Brown Lantern and treat yourself:))))

My friend and i got seated about 8:20, ordered by 8:30-8:35, not sure of the exact time. At 9:20 we did not have our food even though those sitting around us, who had only been 10 to 15, were getting their appetizers.

We had ordered a small Ceasar salad and the Monterey chicken with grilled vegetables. These two dishes seem to me too be very simple.

I have no comment about the quality of th food because we left after almost an hour and the food still had not arrived...... and again those who came long after we did were getting their appetizers!
