Who's Alex? Should he still be working there if he's doing drugs? What if he starts selling while he's there?

Great food!! Can’t wait for them to open again. In meantime I will settle for their great “take out†meals. Thank you Frank and Linda’s for giving us a choice of great food during these trying times. â¤ï¸

This was our first time to Frank & Linda's and we will most certainly be back. Our waitress, Shannon, was extremely nice, and the food was delicious and well worth the price. We did have a to wait a little long for our food to arrive, but once it did, you can immediately tell that it was cooked to order and fresh. I would rather wait for fresh food, than for food that has been cooked in a batch and just waiting for someone to order and consume the remaining items. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will return and try them for lunch and dinner as well.

This 4 star review is based on my experience the last several times I have visited there. There are not a lot of restaurant choices in this town other than fast food type. Last December we had wonderful service and a wonderful meal. There were 3 of us and we all wondered what was going on because we had never had such good service and prompt food. In February we had a nice meal with average service - but it was not busy and we just kept "hollering" for help. In May we got biscuits and gravy to go - 3 orders. Nobody finished them - they were awful and most decidedly canned biscuits. Went again last night and it was great - good food and good service. I have probably been to F&L's about 20 times and you just always know it is going to be hit or miss. We have been fairly satisfied lately.

We are new to Frank and Lindas, The breakfast we had was fabulous. service was prompt. Waitress was very friendly and informative. We went back for a late lunch My husband had the Mushroom Hoagie which he enjoyed my daughter and I had the Pasta with Meatballs and Chicken Parmesian. The meatballs and chicken parm were really good But I was so disapointed in the Marinara sauce!!! It tasted like tomato sugar!! To sweet!!!!!!! I so wish the Marinara had been good. Take out the sugar and it will be Great!

had dinner at Frank & Linda's last night for our anniversary--what an amazing evening!!! Our food was outstanding --he had buffalo shrimp, I had french onion soup (my favorite!!) and a piece of chocolate cake that was out of this workd delicious! The service was great-our waiter was very attentive nad made us feel very welcome. WE even had a great conversatin with the family at the next table. to top it of, the piped in music played our song ("Just the Two of Us")..could not have had a better anniversary dinner. Frank and Linda's is a great restaurant: the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or a meal with friends and family.

Had lunch on 6/27/13, at 2:15 p.m. Restaurant was empty except for a couple at another table. Two waitresses. They sat and visited with the couple until they left. I had to ask for a napkin and silverware. 45 minutes later I was still waiting for my meal. So I got up and left and took the meal with me. Service was very poor!!!

Visiting the area and went to f n l's by recomendation. There were 7 of us in our party. We all ordered different dishes for breakfast. Our waitress was a new hire and still did a great job. Came by to refill our coffee and very sweet. The prices were moderate, the amount of food
exceeded the price. My eggs benedict perfect and everything
was cooked exactly how any of
us ordered. One of the best
breakfasts in a long
time...agreed by all 7 of us. I
will be passing through the area
in a few weeks and will try my
best to try lunch or dinner.
Didnt see much of linda but our
waitress was surely attentive
and friendly.

What a complete 180 from my last experience in July. Our group of 6 (3 adults and 3 children) were passed over multiple times for tables while waiting on Sunday afternoon. When we were finally seated, our server (who I found out later was the owner's brother) told the table right next to us "wait until you see the mess I have to clean up after this group." It was completely insulting, unprofessional and uncalled for, and I can guarantee you our church group will not return to your business again. I made a comment to him when we left that I didn't appreciate it, and all he would say is "I was just kidding." Not even so much as an apology. If you don't want children in your establishment, just post a sign. There are plenty of other places that would want us to spend our money with them. Not to mention, one child ordered a simple hot dog with fries. The hot dog came as most of the rest of us had finished our meal, and she never got the fries even though we told the server multiple times that we were still waiting for them.

Ive eaten at f&ls for about 8 yrs now. Trust me i wouldnt keep going back if it wasnt good. They started in a smaller diner setting and have expanded to a larger full scale restaurant. The menu has almost everything you could imagine and the daily lunch and dinner specials are different everyday and dont usually come off the menu. As far as the bad reviews people... Service is not going to be perfect everywhere you go but f&ls is by far not bad. Sure people have bad days but not everyday and ive talked to the owners several time and they have never been rude or insisted i eat or pay for something i didnt like. Highly recommend

Worst cheeseburgers EVER! They have absolutely No flavor at all. I never thought anyone could mess up a burger but apparently it is possible.

I LOVE THE FOOD! I have eaten at Frank and Linda's numerous times and never had a bad meal. You can clearly tell that the servers are well trained. They are attentive and prompt. This is prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. I would definitely highly recommend!

Went there for the first time for mothers day. I was not sure what to expect, then I saw the menu and was impressed but worried on how they could they make all this and it was going to be a crap shoot on what was going to be good. I was wrong, I had the fillet Mignon, MW with seafood and holllandaise sauce, with asparagus and carrots, salad and baked potato. The steak was cooked perfect. I travel and eat out allot and 90% of the time I have to send it back or they burn it. This was up there with Ruth Chris. Veggies were perfect, steamed crisp, not limp. Potato was perfect, recomend removing foil for presentation. The service was great also food out promt. My wife had eggs benedict which was very good and my 4 year old had pancakes, he loved and I thought were good also. We will be going back !!! ps. I have no association with this restraunt.

I have lived in Effingham County for about ten years now. And have eaten at Frank and Linda's numerous times. I have eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and always have been pleased. All these bad review shock me extremely. As a server my self for a higher scale Italian restaurant I know about fine dining, great food and good service. No one can be perfect, and you can not expect someone to be. You try a place one time and if one thing is wrong you turn up your nose that is ridiculous. I'm sure if it was a corporate restaurant you would give it another try. And i suggest you do the same with Frank and Linda's. The prices are moderate not over prices and in my opinion the best restaurant in Effingham county. And yes it if a family owed restaurant and on many occasions I have asked to speak with Frank and Linda, and they both were busy at the time but still made time to come and talk to me. I takes a lot to run your own business especially a restaurant and I know this personally because my mother owns and boutique and spend most of her time there. I would recommend Frank and Linda's to everyone it is great food and a descent price with good service. I give it five stars.

I can't believe some of these reviews. I have been to Frank and Lindas many times. Sometimes we just don't feel like making the trip into savannah for fine dining. I can tell you that they serve an excellent variety of choices, and everything I have had has been prepared very nicely. It is a family restaurant, and Frank is a fine chef, not just a cook. There is no way they would confront customers, they are so nice.
This restaurant offers very good quality food with a comfortable nice interior, without the fancy plates and high prices. I personally recommend the rosemary steak. Ever eat at longhorn? All you get is a steak with a TON of salt flavor, that attacks the taste buds. The rosemary steak is delicate, no salts, and you can enjoy the flavor of the meat and light rosemary. YUM !!
The eggs benedict (which are hard to find down here in the south) are also a favorite. You can taste the difference from a commercial hollendaise sauce and Franks. His has a nice smooth, yet tart/lemony flavor the commercial made sauces lack.
Overall, I would say that on a scale of 1 to 10, the quality of food is about a 7 (10 being the finest of restaurants) with a price around a 5 out of 10. A good meal at a great value.

Every time we (my family) have went to Frank and Linda's, our food wasn't cooked the way we asked for it and the food is way to expensive for the taste and the amount you get. I would say this place is somewhere to go when you have a lot of money to just throw away.

Foods good and the people are really nice.

And, while I've never met Frank (he's usually in the back cooking, it seems) I've met Linda at the hostess counter (didn't know it was her, she was dressed like the rest of the staff).

We had one waitress on our second trip who, while nice, was somewhat scattered (had to ask to have my drink refilled a few times, personal peeve).

As for the one star review below, I notice they mentioned a female cook. I've been there 4 times (two times for breakfast, 1 time for lunch, one time for dinner) in the last year and a half and, each time, the cook was male (usually Frank).

So it makes me wonder just how real the review is.

My husband and I have been to this place 3 times and have enjoyed the food..but we haven't tasted everything on the menu..so we shall see...:)
I love the shrimp alfredo...the homemade sauce is awesome!!! Big portions..so ask for half portion...also it taste better with angel hair pasta. We asked to talk to Linda..we wanted to tell her that she has some great food and beautiful dining..she took a while to come to our table and we had to ask for again..she seemed to avoid us but she finally made it over to or table. I felt she was afraid we were going to say something was wrong but we told her it was great food and beautiful dining and we really enjoyed ourselves...she was so relieved and was laughing and talking with us. The service could be better but I have seen worse. I'm sure even Northern restaurants have bad service and food.
Bottom Line...we will be back...:)

In general, the food is good, my wife and i have eaten here several times... its expensive, and not really worth the price. But, being that it is one of the only restaurants in Rincon GA not too bad, customer service is typical of Rincon (non existent), especially for the price. This is NOT fine dining by any means, but if you are looking for a half way decent meal and dont mind horrible service, a good place to go.

review_stars 03/10/2010 - customer
Ok, how can one person rate this restaurant 1 star and the other 5 stars. I believe the person that wrote the review with the 5 stars must be related to the restaurant. This place would scare me to know the cook & manager came to my table to question me about my food. That is NOT customer service in my eyes.

review_stars 02/14/2010 - Chris Solomon
There is no way that hammering review is true.
I have been to frank and lindas plenty of time and I can tell you "NONE" of the food portions are anywhere small. I am a full grown 29 year old man that body builds and I only usually order a half size order and I still cant finish it. There servers are the nicest sweetest around. and there food I think is just nothing but excellent. The family that owns the restaurant has recipes that were passed down like 4-5 generations over 100+ years old. And you really can't beat the prices you get. I took my mom dad and me here for my dads birthday and we all has salad and 3 full size dinners. for like $35.

This is a place you just have to try at least once if you like Italian food because you'll love it.

My husband and I ate there yesterday...the salad and bread was ok. I ordered a spicy shrimp and pasta dish and my husband got the Salmon dish. When we received our food the portions were disappointing compared to the price. My husband’s fish was just ok. It came with a baked potato (with only butter) and Pork and Beans...for $15...who serves Pork and Beans with fish??? My dish was very small for $15 (And that was the Large portion) and I ate one bite of the pasta with the spicy sauce...it tasted like mustard, ketchup and Tabasco sauce mixed...it was extremely disgusting and NASTY! I told the waitress I did not like it and I did not want it. The waitress came back and said the owner said I had to keep it and pay for it. I told her I did not want it and I would not pay for it. Then the Owner and Cook came out very irate that I did not like her cooking. She demanded a reason as to why I didn't like the dish; again I said it was disgusting and Nasty. The owner said she did not like my choice of words and said everybody else likes it...my reply I am not everybody else. She asked what was wrong with the shrimp…I said I couldn’t get past the sauce to taste the shrimp. She then had the nerve to ask me if I even read the menus description.
I have never been to a restaurant where the OWNER and COOK were so completely ignorant to CUSTOMER SERVICE! Frank & Linda's Diner has not only lost my business, but I am sure after the scene she created and serious lack of Customer Service Skills…they will not last long! (Note to Owner: They have online courses for Customer Service and several books that can help you)
If you ate at any other restaurant, they would have apologized that the dish was not to my liking and asked if they could make me something else. The charge of the dish would not have even been an issue…common sense and good customer service they would have taken the meal that was unsatisfactory off of the bill.

Bottom line…if you eat at Frank and Linda’s and you don’t like your food…be prepared for the Waitress, Cook and Owner to try to convince you that your taste buds are wrong and that you will keep the meal and pay for it!
