We decided to stop in after seeing this place several times on drives in the past; we should've kept driving. It was a dirty little place - from the ceiling fans to the carpet. There was dirt/dust on the table bases; BBQ sauce fingerprints on the table tents and S&P shakers, as well as on the squeeze BBQ sauce bottles. We ordered iced tea and got instant tea. How hard is it to brew fresh tea? That should've been a clear indicator of the crap to come! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. The menu bragged that they pulled the pork to order for every sandwich. That's bullsh--! If that were the case the pulled pork wouldn't have had dry, unchewable ends. Plus the sandwich was barely lukewarm. The only reason that it was the least bit edible was because it was on a bun and there was salt and BBQ sauce to drown it in. BTW, I'm bettin' the BBQ Sauce was store bought, straight from an Open Pit bottle to Big Daddy's squeeze bottle! My wife had a "rib dinner" - green beans, baked potato, corn bread and a 4 bone rib portion. The baked potato was barely warm enough to melt the butter, the corn bread tasted like a Jiffy box mix and it was burnt and hard.on the edges. The beans were hot (most likely cause they were kept on a steam table) & tasteless. Now the "ribs" - keep in mind that this is supposed to be a BBQ joint! The ribs looked like "Big" Daddy had been sittin on em to keep em warm. We've never seen flat (& I mean flat as a pancake) ribs. They were very wierdly colored, kinda gray/orange and dry as could be! The damn things were probably a week old & boy were they tough and tepid.. My wife ate a couple bites & that was it for her; I tried a bite and wound up spitting the chewed meat into the paper towel. (Yeah, real classy huh? The tinware was wrapped in a single paper towel! ) When we flipped the "ribs" over to the other side, they were actually congealed in some spots. If the ribs were halfway fresh, or if they'd really heated the ribs up beyond tepid, at least that grease woul've melted! It was toooo much. We were done After the waitress dropped this crap at our table, we never saw her again until we got up to leave (she never asked how the lunch was, never came back to our table at all!) My wife paid the $23 bill and then politely let the waitress know what she thought of the "lunch". It was at this point when the waitress said, Oh, I wish you'd said something earlier, I could've taken something off your bill (not sure why she couldn't have taken something off then). It wasn't like we cleaned our plates, 3/4s of the crap we ordered (including the instant tea) was left on our table. She gave my wife one of their business cards and scrawled "good for an $11 dinner" on it. Now why in the hell would we ever go back ? Stay FAR, FAR AWAY from this dive!
