Looking at some of the poor reviews here from the distant past, all I can say is NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Service was terrible. I have never had a waitress walk past our table so many times without even checking to see if everything was OK. We actually had to go to the bar ourself for refills. It took 40 minutes for bread to come out and over an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. When the food did come out, the medium rare steaks we ordered were easily medium well. All three of them. When we informed the owner "Keith" he literally grabbed my knife and started cutting my food yelling "This is a beautiful steak!". He made himself look like a total A-hole in front of the entire restaurant. I'm giving Keith Young's 1 Star. I am giving Keith Young himself a solid F. That guy is a piece of work. There are not a lot of choices for good steak restaurants on the north shore, which is the only reason this place is still around. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Worst meal I can ever remember eating, ordered a 14 ounce ribeye steak, was served 7 oz steak loaded with fat without any flavor. They covered it with an attempt at a crab meat dressing in order to conceal the inferior cut of meat. Was also served any equally poor baked potato. I have eaten far superior baked potatoes at fast food restaurants and never eaten a steak that poor anywhere. I take umbrage with their service as well, the waiter was a surly and flippant little twerp. Later that night I became very sick, with diarrhea and severe gas. I called the owner of the restaurant the next morning to explain what had occurred only to be rebuked and in all actuality called a liar by the owner.

It is hit-or-miss in terms of the quality of steaks at Keith Young's in our experience. We have had enjoyable steaks there on one occasion, then dried-out steaks that were overcooked (and some undercooked) at other times. Their staff tried to ignore/discount that three of our steaks at a dinner were cooked inconsistent with what was ordered (we sent two back for further cooking, as they were then scorched on the outside). Very disappointing. Staff at this restaurant did not inquire as to our satisfaction with the meal at all...business must be good as customer focus is non-existent. We won't be back. Ruth's Chris or other comparable steak houses are in a different league from Keith Young's. Keith Young's is thriving only because there is little competition on the northshore in terms of steak houses.

We had made dinner reservations ahead and arrived early and had several nice cocktails at the bar before beibg seated. We ordered more drinks along with food (steaks). Although they were prepared exactly as ordered, they were served on COLD plates which sucked almost all of the heat from the steaks and the baked potatoe was only warm. This was my first time and was not what I expected for this restaurant. The wait staff was excellent and exceeded my expectations.

We went last Saturday, Oct 3, 2009. Everything was great - we ate 5 different entrees. The only problem we had was the ribeye and it was cooked medium rare but it was tough and i really had a hard time chewing it. Please get better beef, like Ruth's Cris? It makes all the difference in the world. Service was excellent, by the way and the atmosphere was great. The bartenders really know what they are doing. I'll be back but will not order the rib eye (my favor it steak).
