Scumbag owner serving high sodium MAGA slop to morbidly obese customers. Closed for good now and good riddance!

I have always loved the dining experience of the Pine Cone Restaurant.
However, on this Friday in particular, I was craving a fish fry.
I usually ALWAYS get a breakfast entree as their breakfast (no matter what you get) is always delicious.
Instead, I decided to go with the AYCE fish and chicken dinner.
For starters, the ONLY thing that identifies the Clam chowder as Clam chowder is Clams. Period. At first, I thought I was getting a cup of gravy. It had minimal seafood flavor at best and I couldn’t even identify a potato. Nuf sed.
Next, ALWAYS get your salad dressing on the SIDE! Unless of course, you enjoy your salad swimming in dressing!
And lastly, on to the fish.
I would have to say, if you could ‘just’ get a plate of fish on its own (byo tartar sauce) great!
The fish was okay, and I’m ‘really’ picky when it comes to my deep fried fish… Breaded or battered, they were both good. Tartar sauce on the other hand, WAY too sweet.
As far as the chicken is concerned,,, don’t even ask for any. It’s WAY over the (whatever it IS they do with it) and dry… Yes, even the dark pieces.
All in all I’d have to say it was the first time I have ever been disappointed with a meal @ The Pine Cone Restaurant!

Amazing food, great prices, and excellent service! The best chicken fried steak I have had for breakfast in Wisconsin. The waitresses and manager have always been super polite. Ignore the entitled whiner with obvious mental issues.

The service here is terrible the manager (old woman with black short hair and no customer service skills) is even worse! Went for Valentine's Day with my four children 13, 6, 5 and 3 also my 68 year old grandfather and my sister and ended in tears from all my children and even having to call the police on the old woman due to her completely unprofessional service as a manager. My son, my sister and I all ordered the all you can eat fish and chicken for $14 a meal we figured like most restaurants except buffets you can bring home your left overs so we said great we'll eat a little here then eat the rest over a movie because the younger children were already getting anxious to leave we ended up spending over $80 and were really looking forward to spoil my children for desert at the bakery up front to go home with. I'm on SSI and have two disabled children also so when it came time to pack up our left overs the waitress tells us well we aren't suppose to let you take home your fish or chicken from the all you can eat. I asked why she did not tell us that when we ordered it or at least have something posted on the special that you cannot take your left overs. I've never been to a sit down and order restaurant that you can not take your left overs home. We had about two pieces of fish each and me and my son had our chicken because we asked the waitress why there wasn't just a way to order only the fish all you can eat. She said well as long as you can fit all the food in one to go box you can take it because it is not posted or told about not taking left overs, so we put our pieces of fish and my son and I pieces of chicken in the box we didn't get to eat our mashed potatoes and gravy or our soup with the meal. As we were getting ready to leave the "manager" walked over grabbed the boxes (one containing my 5 year olds pancake and sausage kids meal) away from my son and started opening them touching the food saying well you cannot take any left overs from the all you can eat fish and chicken she was so rude did this in front of the entire family all the kids on Valentine's Day it was the worst experience I've ever had in my life I just could not believe it. I asked my grandfather to take the kids outside as I sat there to try to resolve this most embarrassing moment. When I tried to talk to this woman she proceeded to tell me that that is not what the waitress said so I said yes mam it was my family sat there and heard it that is why we put the food in one box she said we'll just leave I said no mam I want this resolved so she said well go get your family so I can hear what the waitress said, by this time my grandfather and three smaller children left immediately but my sister and 13 year old were out in the other car I asked them to come in and tell this women what the waitress said as we were walking back in this old woman honestly locked the doors on us! I was just in tears by this point for so much embarrassment I called the police immediately. The police came as I sat outside crying and freezing to death and I ended up being told it was a misunderstanding and paying for everything with no apologies and not even our other left overs. I cried for almost an hour afterwards apologizing to everyone telling them I will make it up when I can. The one time in months I allow my budget to pay for a nice meal for my family I have to regret not staying home and just cooking dinner on a living holiday because of some evil cold hearted old woman. I'm just at a loss and feel so bad for what my children think.!
