Love it Love It Love It, I would only eat perch and had a taste for some and my friend took me here thinking they had it. He talked me into trying the catfish and I've been hooked every since. The staff are great they offer great customer service and the owner is always there with a smile. Mr. Norman the cook is A-one. Definitely and diamond in the rough. Now I won't eat fish from anywhere else but here and turned my co-workers on to it also.

This place is definitely worth your time as a dining destination. It is also a great opportunity to support a locally run business... which helps Memphis build a REAL economy.
Now for the food review. On my first trip here a few weeks ago, I had a vegetable plate with turnip greens, yams, black eyed peas, and THE best chicken dressing I have ever had in my long life in the South. Both times I have eaten here, the owner has been onsite and has been active with the food prep, and the dining room. Today when i stopped in, I spoke with him briefly and he seems to be very customer focused and is clearly a smart man who knows that people like good, fresh food, served with a sincere smile. He suggested I try the catfish today and I took his advice. I must say it is without a doubt, the best catfish I have eaten! (and i have eaten alot) The two fillets were very large. The batter was just the perfect spice...not hot, but not mild. The meat was almost like it had been meticulously trimmed by a butcher...perfect! was the only time I have ever had catfish that was ALL white meat. This little place is a good example of a community restaurant which demonstrates the power of good people doing what they love to do and doing it very well. Give them a try!
