We ate at Uri,s last Friday night. It was awesome!!! I had the perch. The best! My wife had the rib eye steak it was cooked to perfection! It almost melted in her mouth!!My daughter had the Angus burger a great choice! huge portions way more then she could eat. Then to top it off the home made peach cobbler with cinnamon ice cream was just amazing!!!the view is great watching the waves slam over the break walls.Lake Huron is truly a great place Thanks for the great service and the great dining experience!! Keep up the great work!!

We look forward to our trip to Forrester every year for our anniversary. We always make the trip to Port Sanilac to Uri's for our anniversary dinner. The service has always been poor, but the food was always good. We have even recommended Uir's to many traveling friends and family. This year, we made our reservation and went to Uri's. The evening started with rotten (and I do mean rotten) tomatoes in my salad. The waitress, Monica, always leaves something to be desired. Maybe she should look into something less customer oriented? My husband ordered a blackened prime rib that had to be ordered "medium and up"...it was completely over-cooked and tasted like leather. I ordered the shrimp and scallop greek pasta. Unfortunately (for me) I had to ask the waitress where the scallops were (as I could not find them). She left, returned, told the neighboring table that the special was from the night before and they had not changed the menu...there were no scallops and would that be OK? When she approached our table I already knew...she asked if it would be OK and I said no, I would have ordered someting else had I known. She left...a bit later she returned with to go boxes (as there were two plates with 3/4 of a meal on them - too disgusting to eat). We asked for the check. No apologies, no restitution, no attempt to make it right or apologize. I will NEVER go back, nor will I recommend this place to people I like!

I recently held my reception for my wedding at Uri's and Lets just go ahead and say that I hate this place with a passion. The owner called me a liar multiple times that day. We had this place booked for 6 months, a couple weeks before the wedding i kept calling her to touch base about our numbers and menu options, the day of the wedding she told everyone that I only told her 47 people would be attending and that there would be no kids. All lies! why would i call 3 times before the wedding to discuss our menu for the kids and tell here the number of entree's we would be having?.. I called her and one point to ask her If It would be easier if i came and set-up the tables for the wedding, she said not to worry about it and that her staff could handle it. I came the friday before the wedding and spent my time to show and tell her all that i wanted done and nothing i wanted was done the next day! I gave her wine glasses with handmade chalkboards on them and she filled my gifts for my guest with water! Wine and water are not the same. It Ruined the whole point of the chalkboard. There wasn't even a head table set until my bridesmaids walked in the door and had no place to sit!! she told them i never said anything about it!!! more and more lies!!.. Now lets get into the dinner, the prime rib that was served was the worst thing i have even eaten, flavorless and tough, way overcooked!! Everyone was displeased with the food about the only thing I enjoyed was my salad( lets face it, there's not much there to mess up). If your looking for a good meal, your better off going and catching a fish on the lake and cooking it yourself!
Thanks for ruining my wedding day

Uri's has been a favorite dining spot for us ever since we moved to the Michigan Thumb four years ago. We have had one or two disappointments there, but at their best, Uri's has been stunning! A group of 16 of us came over for dinner last night (April 25th) following a fabulous concert at the Museum Church. Of the nine at our table, at least five of us ordered the pesto-walnut sirloin from the "specials" menu. Of those five, at least four of us ordered medium rare. My wife's order actually did come medium-rare and it was quite good. The other three, including mine, were something more than well-done. They were dry and tasteless. I don't think any of us could finish them. Also, there were huge discrepancies in the size of these entrees. What's more, my wife and I ordered wine by the glass. At some point about a third of the way through the meal, I reminded our waitress that we were still waiting for the wine. We were still waiting when we were about 80% done, so I had to cancel the order. In all respects, service was slow and inattentive.

We were all in a celebratory mood, not wishing to mar the occasion with all our complaints. The cook did come to our table (your chef was off) and I think we heard him suggest that there might have been some mix-up of our orders. But mathematically, that cannot be, since four of the five orders were medium-rare, and only one was delivered that way. At any rate, certainly this was a disappointing experience. A restaurant of Uri's reputation needs to maintain a much higher level of consistency, if they wish patrons to return. We will not.
