Terrible service as they would not accommodate a table large enough for 5 people.

review_stars 11/22/2020 - Disappointed
I went to Marjos’s in early November with my boyfriend for what I thought was going to be a late breakfast.
After being seated our waitress disappeared for a little bit only to come back with the manager who approached our table and point blankly looked at me and said do you have Covid? And I said I did but I’m over it and not contagious. It was several weeks ago. (on a sidenote another waitress had apparently passed on the wrong information so therefore I was being accused of being sick because people overheard a conversation ) She would not listen to me explain and then my boyfriend tried telling her the same thing and she’s like well I can’t serve you because you have Covid and I was like no I don’t and she just would not listen. She stated she had a waitress there with little kids and I was infecting them and I was not to be there. While she’s talking to us we noticed kitchen staff, the other waitresses and the customers were all staring at us because of how loud the manager was talking. I ended up telling her don’t worry about serving me I’m leaving, my boyfriend who had been a regular there for over 12 years was very disappointed in how they treated us. People need to get their facts straight and not be rude especially to a paying customer. My boyfriend tried calling but when the manager hung up on him. A few days later I tried calling on two different days to talk to the manager to just talk about what happened and I was told she wasn’t there. So basically I’m on here to let people know what they’re in for when they go there which is very rude waitresses and staff.

I haven't had one bad meal in all the years been eating there. The Tavern Cod is my favorite, and their specials they post. The waitresses are great. Excellent comfort food.

The staff wasn't very nice and the food was terrible. The omelet was 95% egg hardly any filling and the chicken was burned.

Passing through town . Looks like most places in a small town. Was quite amazed . The food was out of the world and the waitress was great. The place was packed to the brim ..but food was out of the kitchen faster than we would have expected. Not only was the food great but there is NO WAY you would go away hungry and the prices were below what we would of expected by the food.

Went here expecting a decent meal and was very disappointed. Place was dirty and food was not good at all. Walking out I was disgusted to see all the kitchen workers outside smoking.

I'll be back for sure. The service was quick, the portions are huge, and the prices are great. Very good tasting food. Everything I saw go by me looked tasty.

We were given a gift certificate to Mar Jo's. I have tried to view a menu on this site before going there and all I can find is a chalk board picture of a couple of Breakfast items, I have a couple of medical issues and I'd like to see what is on the menu before going in the restaurant. Until I see a menu I will give it a No Thanks rating

All the elements of a great restaurant is here. You're made welcome, the place is clean, Service is excellent. The food is everything it should be and prices reasonable. If you're going down 131 it is well worth your time and money to dine there.

The food was amazing especially the all you can eat chicken. The cook Kim Tallman is an amazing cook, she literally should cook all of my food forever. She definitely should be getting a raise. The buser Monica Edick is quite good at her job. She should be a waitress with all the hospitality.

delicious chicken, great salads, all the food you can stuff down your pie-hole,and all for $20 and change.Incredible.We drive 50 miles to eat here.Gotta be the best-kept secret in SW Mich dining.Greatest service I've ever experienced in a restaurant, period.

Their breakfast is horrible. And if you look at craigslist, they are constantly hiring new cooks/dishwasher. They go through 1 to 2 every week. So many people have posted about how nasty the manager is to employees. :(

The Hot Turkey Sandwich reminded me of High School cafeteria food. Blah! Instant mashed potatoes, A slab of turkey cold cuts, flash fried, white bread, no dressing, and gravy from a can I'm sure. The little cole slaw serving on the side was good.
If you really think this is good food then you need to widen you're horizons.

After eating at your restaurant a few times this year, we are not very happy with your fried, all you can eat fish. The grease is so thick and unbearable that anyone eating food like that might have to consider dining elsewhere for health reasons. The diet soda also needed additional syrup. This problem is a ongoing matter and we will never dine there again.
