My fiance and I found this place by chance while staying at Turtle Creek Casino. It was absolutely wonderful, excellent atmosphere, clean, service was prompt, food was awesome and we tried Horny Monk for the first time. We plan on stopping in again on our honeymoon.
On 11/3/15 we did stop in while on our honeymoon. The beef tip starter dish was no longer served in a dish with fingerling potatoes. It was served on a white platter with a 1/4 cup puddle of "mashed potatoes". Unfortunately, we both ordered one instead of sharing like we did the first time. We both ordered the Tuesday special as well. 6oz sirloin with vegetable and potato and a pint. I thought you got to pick the veg and potato... I was wrong. I wish I could upload the picture we took. Between the 4 plates we got 1 cup of liquid mashed potatoes that were basically a smear across the plate, you could tell it was runny then allowed to cool so it solidified. They had no form to them whatsoever. 10 seriously anorexic spears of asparagus, so dry and limp they looked like they had been run through a dehydrator, and at least an inch of the ends were so woody they couldn't be eaten, and 12oz of steak. The sirloin was okay. Not fantastic, but edible. The beef tips were good, but they were good last time and the whole reason we came back. Basically we paid $54.00 for some steak and a beer (my hubby had Mt Dew and the server gave us credit for it). Server was nice, but stoned out of her mind. I guess you would have to be. Left her a 20% tip cause it wasn't her fault and have a feeling she will be filing for unemployment soon anyway. FYI ... I hate leaving a restaurant hungry. Especially after spending that much, at that price they should have needed a wheelchair to get me out, but I could really go for a pizza right now. Too bad we are way up north and everything closes at 5pm

This has to be the worst restaurant that I have ever been to. The food was not that great and the service was horrible ( which I blame on the management ). Plus if you sit on the bar side they always have really loud people there swearing in front of my kids. Its unfortunate since they have such a nice patio. My advice, sell it and let someone who knows what they are doing take over.

One Monday evening we had a great burger/beer dinner with hand sliced olives and french fries. The next week we returned after such a great experience the week before to find the beer of our choice no longer available, chips instead of fries with our meal, and a whole lot less personal attention by our server. This was going to be our Monday night ritual but not so sure now....

Friends and I had lunch. The $5 special was wonderful. The wait staff was great, and the cook was concerned about the food he served. I think the place is great for lunch, I'll be back for dinner to see if the quality holds up. Keep up the good work folks, and thank you for your great efforts. Bob

We had my daughters’ birthday dinner at the river walk. There was a promotion that brought us there. When we were seated the menus were set on the table. The hostess walked away without passing them out or making sure we all had silverware, witch we did not. We presented the cards for the promotion the server acknowledged them and let us order. We asked that our sauces be served on the side and our vegetables to be without oil and steamed. The coffee was cold. We asked to get our bread before the meal. They didn’t bring it out until the food was brought. They put oil on everything and the sauces on the food. In short they would not honor our requests. When the bill came they tried to charge us more than the menu stated and informed us the promotion was not valid. We would have ordered differently if we had known. In short please think twice before spending your hard earned money at a restaurant that treats people as an imposition.
