We've eaten at Snappy's several times when vacationing in Maggie Valley. It's the best restaurant in the area. Everything we've had there has been delicious! And I might add...the owner and staff are friendly and the service is excellent!
If you're in the area, you won't be disappointed at Snappy's!!

My husband and I was on a long weekend trip to Maggie Valley this past June. We had dinner at Snappy's and really enjoyed our meal and the service received. We decided we would order a carry out pizza on Sunday night since we really like them before. My husband made the call for the order and the gentleman answered and said he could do this. We thought nothing of this until we picked up the pizza and realized the restaurant was and had been closed on Sunday. This guy was at the restaurant cleaning but when we called he just went and made our pizza. To say the least, we were both impressed with this person and the restaurant and their customer service. I will visit again when we're back there. If you read my review, thank you again!! And folks, you will be missing good food if you don't stop and visit also!!

Absolutely Delicious Food, Everything we ordered was outstanding. It was by far one of the best if not the very best we have eaten. We live in Knoxville & there are many eating places here, but none to compare to Snappy's. The waiter was very efficent and the owner Garrett & his wife Janet came out & greeted us & visited w/us. It was like home being w/you family. We will defintley go back as soon as possible & take family & friends w/us as we want them to enjoy this fabulous food & friendly staff!!

My family and I have been dinning at Snappy's for 20 yrs. The food is great and the portions are enough for 2 meals. The owner (Garrett) and staff are extremely gracious and attentive. I would recommend anyone visiting Maggie Valley stop and eat there before leaving!

My mother, her boyfriend, and I all went to Snappy's in January of this year, and I've been meaning to write a review ever since. This was absolutely one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to! The owner is an extremely nice and generous person, and all of the food is cooked as perfectly as I've ever seen, without going to a 4 or 5 star restaurant. The prices will seem a few dollars higher than you would wish, at first, but the portions are HUGE and the food tastes GREAT!!! The atmosphere is a happy, Italian-American styled restaurant, with original scenes of Italy, and food. Next week, I will be heading through that area soon, and I can't wait to eat there again!

My Husband and I have eaten there several times and have enjoyed it each and every time. It's so nice to have Garrett come out and check on everyone to make sure they're enjoying themselves. The food is great and the portions are plentiful. The prices are very reasonable. You must go there, you won't be disappointed!

We arrived late in Maggie Valley around 9:30 on 10/30/09. After checking into a hotel we decided to try and find a place to eat. We stopped at a steak house but found that it was closed except for the bar area. Since we do not drink or smoke the bar idea was out. Driving just a block down the road we spotted Snappy's and decided to see if they were open. They were glad to seat us and told us we had plenty of time as they do not close till 11:00. While looking over the menu, another couple was seated at the next table. They made a menu suggestion of the 10 inch pizza and to split a chef salad. My husband and I ordered a deluxe pizza and chef salad. The salad was big enough for 4 people and that was the small size. The pizza was the best, better then Pizza Hut or Domino's. Everything was so good that we went back the next night and ordered the chef salad again to split and steak sub. I don't like steak subs very much but steak was on the salad and tasted so good I had to try it in a sandwhich. The bread was crisp but not hard. My husband was very impressed with the food. The owner came through the dinning room and stopped to talk to each table. And i don't me just saying hi. He was in the dinning room better then 30 minutes and he remembered us from the night before. Snappy's will be one of must eat places every time we visit Maggie Valley. The outside of the place is not much to look at but Never judge a good restaurant by the outside, because you just may miss the best meal of your life!

We been eating at snappys for years and I can honestly saynif you have any type of problem and you did not tell The owner Garret then you should have. We watched on several occasions how he has handled problem with unhappy guest, he bends over backward for people... I guess that is why he has been there over twenty years......

We have traveled to Snappy's for dinner about every time we've gone to Gatlinburg for vacation. The first time we went, about 15 years ago, we stumbled across it after crossing the mountains on Goldwings at 10:00 p.m., to find nothing open for a meal. Garrett, the owner, saw us leaving the lot and came out to us and said that his employees said they would stay later to serve us and we had the best meals ever. They even fixed us the best appetizers to try, all freshly cooked. The food was wonderful and has been every time we have visited there. We are heading that way in October 2009 and plan to give Snappy's a visit again. YUM YUM from Indiana!!!!

I've seen a lot of reviews on this one. We live local and eat at Snappy's all of the time.
Yes, they do offer a discount. Ask for a membershp card. Eat there and total $100.00 and they give you $10.00 off the next meal.
Give them your birthdate, anniversary date, etc. and eat free!
Don't like what you are eating, tell them, they'll offer you something else.
If you are complaining it's you not the food. They make the best salad, homemade bread and much more. We love it there. It is a pleasure to offer Christmas gift cards from Snappy's. Love it when the owner comes out and greets us at our table to find out how we are enjoying ourselves. Waitress and greeters are wonderful and friendly. Their chocolate pecan pie (homemade) is to die for!!!

On Monday, December 29, 2008 we called Snappy's at 5:45pm for reservations for a party of 15. I arrived at 6:15pm with my wife and 2-minor children. I checked in with the hostess and explained that out entire party has not arrived and that we would inform her once everyone was present. I began joking around with the hostess, telling her that my little Puerto Rican friend was on his way and if the tables were not ready by the time he arrived, I wasn't sure I'd be able to hold him back. I was laughing as I said this and the other members of our party and another couple that was waiting were laughing as well. When the entire party arrived at 6:35pm, the hostess told us that we could dine in the "Smoking Room", sitting at several tables or we could choose to wait for an available table. We all agreed that we'd wait the additional minutes to avoid eating with smoke. At 6:45pm, the hostess returned to the hostess stand and was visibly upset. A few moments later, a waitress walked from the kitchen area glaring at us. Then an older male approached us and asked if everything was okay and if we were being taken care of. I replied absolutely and that we were told that our table would be ready soon. He replied that the hostess was upset and that he was asked to come out front and then he walked away. At 7:15pm, the waitress that was glaring at our party was overheard by us that if we were seated that she'd refuse to wait on us! We approached her and explained that we were offended and that if there was a problem, then the Manager should have come out and spoken to us. She became rude and loud stating that was said to the hostess was inappropriate and that she overheard the alledged (but false) statements, but when asked to repeat what she alledgedly heard, she could not do so. I asked to speak to the Manager and an older woman identified herself as the Manager and she stated that they were busy and did not have time for impatient people! What?! We waited for over an hour to be seated!!! Regardless, I apologized to the Hostess, explaining that we were merely joking and that we were sorry that she misunderstood the sarcasm that was used. The entire situation could've beem handled professionally by the staff and resolved in moments, but instead the Manager let an older bitter waitress to dictate the outcome. So we took our business and money elsewhere and enjoyed the rest of our evening. Bottom line, if you visit this restaurant, do not attempt to joke around with the staff, do not visit with a party larger than four and be prepared to deal with an older, blond waitress with a poor disposition that matches her overall appearance. Finally, be aware of poor management that has no regard for their customers overall dining experience.
