review_stars 08/07/2015 - not going back!
Took over 45 minutes for scrambled eggs and hash browns. as a repeat customer when I politely said something about my excessive wait time I was RUDELY approached outside of the restaurant by Denise the "OWNER" who swore at me several times and suggested I dont come back. She had me confused with another customer but to have the audacity to handle the situation in which she did was enough to keep me from ever spending my money there again. I will be sharing my experience with everyone! Her food is not that grand to be abused that way.. Denise needs to be brought down a few pegs and take a socialization class to learn how to treat customers! Shame on you!

Food is average at best. My advice is to go there when you are not hungry, because you will be starving by the time you get service and your food arrives. Last time my wife and I went there for breakfast, there was 6 other people in the place and we waited nearly an hour for our food. When I asked after 45 minutes, I was rather rudely reminded "our food is homemade and cooked to order..." Apparently that includes waiting for the potatoes to grow and the chickens to lay the eggs.

Just recently discovered this restaurant have never had bad food at this place it's just terrific

review_stars 05/18/2014 - Disrespected customer
Went there for the first time with a group of friends and children. Will never go back. Was treated like an outcast-owner( and her daughter) were rude and handled themselves with lak of respect for their customers. Short version -not respected/ sworn at and simply walked away from because we had some obvious concerns. Children were present and scared our 6 year old with her behavior and lack of judgment and maturity!!

Real home made food. Best breakfast around. You have to wait a little longer because everything is fresh and made from scratch, just like at grandma's. And they tell you up front. So don't complain about the service.

I stopped there with my wife's family (six of us) on January 26, 2013 one of our family members likes the old diner looks of Nancy's and has been wanting to go there for sometime, so we did for breakfast, sour moldy coffee cream isn't the best eye opener .. It was entertaining to see them not even offer one a FREE cup of coffee to wash the moldy taste out of your mouth....

Great homecooked real food. Their burgers are amazing. Never have had bad food nor bad service at this diner. A favorite of ours.

This is my wife and I's third time eating at this diner and though the food is above average because it's cooked to order beware of the terrible service. The first time was bad but tollerable, the second time was ok but this last and final time was the worst service I had ever had. It's a small town diner with a "my way or the highway" attitude.

Great homecooked food. Had an incredible chocolate cake their recently and was blown away by their pot roast. My newest favorite place to eat. My wife is so impressed - her hatred of cooking is fine by me - she loves our date nights and now includes this diner.

The Best Diner we've ever eaten ate. Such wonderful homemade food and soups to die for. You want some "love" - try their fabulous desserts! I opt for the Coconut Cream or the Cheesecake....

This place is amazing. All I can say is "French toast on their homemade bread" - It is the BEST! Seriously I don't know what they do but the food here is like eating at my Grams house. We choose to come here over any other place in the area. Girls - WE LOVE YOU!!!

Love this Diner. I have had probably 75% of the items on there menu. I have yet to have an item I didn't LOVE! We have visited alot of different eateries in Lorain, Medina and Cuyahoga counties and I believe this is the best place I have found to eat at. This place has a very nice staff and we enjoy ourselves immensely when we visit here. (at least twice a week)

I love Nancy's. The food is great and the servers are nice and actually enjoy their job - it shows. You may have to wait a few for your food but who cares - its made fresh and its worth it. I had dessert from there MANY choices - loved it. I'm so rushed anymore that I love to slow down here and watch a little t.v. and just relax.

This place is a homerun - It's now Nancy's Main Street Diner and me and my wife eat there on and off through out the week - we have an old 1950's chevy and we show her off at the Cruise ins on Mondays - - All I can say is MEATLOAF!!! I can't live without it - - It's a real 1950's diner.... I love it all....
