If I could give the wooden shoe inn 0 stars I would. The service is ok but the food is just ransom, its complete garbage. We ate there for the first time and do not care to go back! The food just tasted awful!! The coleslaw tasted and looked old, after even tasting it I only wonder how many people get sick from eating there. The chicken had to be the worse tasting food on the earth. I cannot make this up. The bathroom was nicely built but the toilets do not work correctly!! They did not even offer to amend the bill. She offered to give us new coleslaw, I said no because It would probably be the same thing and I do NOT want that ever again. Not to mention, the pickles they supposedly make? It looks like somebody has consumed them, then gave them to new customers!! There is also a window in the bathroom, it has a curtain but its literally see through. This has got to be the worse f-ing restaurant I have been too. Save yourself and your money, they are overpriced for horrible food. Not to mention we had to wait over 30 minutes to get our food; when we were the only ones in there. Choose somewhere else to eat, not here.

Love the wooden Shoe Inn! Very friendly, love the remodeling too! Chicken in a basket is wonderful like it was in the 70’s! 😊

Relly good service got seat right away . The remodel makes the building pop the food had great flavor had waffles they had sugar that popped in your mouth when eating . Could have been a little bit higher than I expected but that is the way things are when prices go up on the restaurant over all a good experience.

Ordered pecan crusted walleye, it was overcooked and very fishy tasting. Took a couple bites, complained about not being able to eat it and they took it away but still charged me $10 for the salad and a handful of fries that I ate. They would not negotiate at all. Will not be back.

Pros: Restaurant remodeled nicely, food was good-not great, but good. The chicken was tasty, but not anywhere near what it used to be like. Got our food very quickly, which surprised our larger table. Cons: Young girl brought one carafe of water for 7 people so had to ask for more. When the bread bowl came out we asked for another since we had several people and the waitress acted like it was being rationed, "there's 8 pieces there for 7 people!" She stood at one end of the table to take our orders, and by the time she got to the other end she was yelling. So the couple at the other end asked if she could please walk to their end so they wouldn't have to scream. Then when the food came she repeated the process. stood at one end and handed all the food down the table. So we all handed each other our food. The young man who brought the drinks to the table had the one running down the sides dripping on the floor. He walked away right into the mess he had made and never made any attempt to go back and clean it up. Then another server came by our table with drinks for another table and spilled beer on an empty chair at our table and never came back to clean it up. Overall, they give off the impression that they're trying to be an upscale place. But that doesn't compute at all. I mean, who doesn't order enough steaks for a Saturday night, and then serves the steaks they DO have on a bed of pesto?! That's just weird.

Resturant looks nice. Been their twice. Chicken and fries are definitely not as good as before. Fancy menu in a farm town. They should take the fancy out. And just cook well! I’ve gone to old shoe for 50 years . I’m not going back. Very disappointed!

The new remodeled restaurant is nice.Had the traditional fried chicken was good but french fries so small they looked like bottom of a bag, Since they make there own this seemed wrong. wish they had bake pototaoes and a few other side dishes. offering rather small.

The food prices on most items was ridiculous. Plain fettuccine alfrado was 10 bucks, not bad, I ordered it with shrimp for 6 bucks more, came with 3 little shrimp! Not going back anytime soon

As a part of a group of four we enjoyed excellent atmosphere, beautiful decor, fantastic food, superb service but unfortunately, the noise was so loud we could not even comfortably converse at our own table without raising our voices. Each of us independently stated that in spite of all the positives we would probably not return until the acoustic problems were addressed. I cannot even imagine our bad it would be if the restaurant were full!

Was not impressed with the classic chicken, the.
Coating was not as good and the fries were very limp and soggy. Use to be able to swap out Cole slaw out for salad,. You have to purchase the slaw like a side and they wanted 3:00 dollars f or it. Sorry that is sorry way to start out a. New restaurant. They only serve there lager beers in mugs and I like my beer in a mug. I guess when you call to make reservations, you have to specify that you would like a table. They put 5 of us in a booth. My last time for a long time before I go back
