I keep giving Roma's a chance when I'm in town to visit friends on the AFB. The food usually tastes good. But every time I eat there, I feel sick a few hours later and even the next day if I had something with seafood. It doesn't matter what dish I try, still get the same feeling. Before they remodeled, there were two instances of finding a roach in my (or my friend's) food. Rather than complain about it and embarrass my friends, I just wouldn't eat my food. Since they have remodeled, I have not found roaches but have found a fly and hair in two other dishes. Please be sure to check your food before you eat it! There have also been a couple of instances that the waitress forgot to bring our side salad. If your meal states it comes with a salad, be sure to ask the waitress.
The service is okay. I notice the majority always stand around by the bar area talking and playing on their phones instead of checking on customers. We did have one waitress we really liked, but she's only there a couple of days a week. We were in her section one time, the other visits we were sat elsewhere. I'm not sure of her name but she is older than the others and told us she had been there for several years. The others that have waited on us are usually a little rude and seem in a hurry to get away from the table. One even dared to roll her eyes as she walked away when we asked for a refill of our empty drink!
The atmosphere is nicer since the remodel, and they now have beer and wine. Be careful when you order beer or wine though, because it's possible it will be served by an underage server. It appears that the older ones will pour it but they allow the younger ones to take to the table.
They do have lunch specials and a take-out menu. Beware that the "special" lunch prices for dine in do not apply to lunch take-out. Also beware that they don't give side salads with take-out orders, you have to ask for them and will be charged for them.


So, in conclusion -
Food: good, but you may be sorry later
Service: Okay most of the time.
Atmosphere: Nice

I've been here several times because there are not many places to eat in altus. The food is okay SOMETIMES, though the wait staff is terrible. Seem to have no rules and regulations, And twice I have gone there and the bathrooms were abominations. Definitely a thumbs down for service but most of the food is okay. There pizzas are pretty good. Although I do question kitchen and wait staff sanitary habits. They don't seem to be very clean at all but I guess what I don't know doesn't hurt me. Eeewwww.

Delicious food at a fair price. If you want to spend the evening in, chose their delivery option ($10.00 minimum), or head over to the restaurant and have a glass of wine with your meal. Located conveniently close to base, Roma's will certainly satiate your craving for great Italian cuisine. Features an enormous selection, garlic bread, salad, and several pasta favorites!
