Steaks to perfection on the oak grill. Even with the price increase it’s not over priced. The atmosphere is casual and sometimes cramped but the food is worth it!! Go here everyone I visit!

Jockos has poor service & they get the orders WRONG! The Spencer Stake was a farce with poor neat, small portion & not cooked as ordered!! They put the beans in the bottom of the plastic bag thus spilling all over when I got home! They screwed up & gave us French fries in place of a potato!! The @&%* price for 5 of us to eat was around $250.00 with tip!! They’re TOO BUSY DONT BOTHER!!

Awesome old-school steakhouse. No fuss here, just incredible food.

Here's the thing about Jocko's: for what it is, it's amazing. Yes, get reservations and expect to still wait past your reserved time. Yes, your dinner will take awhile to arrive. Yes the wait staff is busy. If you want fine dining, go elsewhere. This is not that.
This is a convivial, funky, down home, locals favorite place in the middle for nearly nowhere where locals come for special occasions, or just taking the in-laws out for a nice dinner. This is American food, with chuckwagon backbone in the melting pot of agrarian life.
The steaks? Yeah, baby. Don't mess with anything else your first time. Get the Spencer. Order a cold brew or a bottle of excellent local wine. Sit back and take it in. Don't be a wussy, don't get all up in arms over the wait, the noise, the food in the carpet. Have an AMAZING steak, and enjoy!

good but salty. steak is large but if you split w/someone you will get charged $4.00. we didn't realize that until I asked about the $4.00 and the manager told me after we ate our dinner that was for sharing a dinner with someone. wish they would've told me b4 i ate.

Whenever we are in the San Luis Obispo area a stop at Jock's for dinner is always a must. Rustic atmosphere that is a appropriate for a western style steak house. Family style dining that is fun and friendly. We have only tired the magnificent steaks that are cooked to perfection and large enough to share. We have a friend that is pilot and he will fly from the San Francisco Bay Area for one of Jock's steaks.

BEST steak you'll ever eat in CA!!
I'm one for ambiance, and this doesn't have much, but none of that matters when you taste their steaks! They are simply the best, and I'm comparing them to the most expensive steak houses in the state. All of their food is fabulous. Make a reservation. If not, you'll be sorry, as the wait can be between 1 1/2 - 4 hours.
