Whether you want to call in for a take out or come in out of the rain for a whiskey and a Beer, down on the south side, the Black Star Pub and Grill provides you with a sanctuary away from it all. The folks that come here ride bikes, drive truck, slide out of the occasional Mercedes and Volvo and more often than not, the later have more tattoos than the former. From Pull tabs to pool and big screen TV’s showing the latest sport: this is a true Pub. You want to get lost in the Spirits?, they have them. You want to eat? Well this is where the true magic of the Black Star Lies. Their waitress are efficient, giving you enough time to quench your thirst several times before the meal comes but when it does you will not be disappointed. Everything from Gizzards to a Burger called the BS (more than most hearty eaters can handle for $7.95), with salads, home made Jo Jo’s on the side. Your wallet, depending on your thirst, will retain its integrity here,. And you will leave feeling that well, in hard times there still value to be had in America and good folks to enjoy it with.
