I've NEVER been disappointed by this place. The Pollo Loco I had last night was great, & the flan alone is a treat. The drinks are great, sunny & tropical, especially now that it's fall.
There's never more than a 5 - minute wait even on a busy night, & the staff are always friendly & courteous.
The food is easily as good as some of the " trendier " places here.
I'll keep coming back !!

I ate here approximately 2 weeks ago, & a friend / acquaintance of mine told me that I didn't mention the actual quality of the food at all.
I'm rectifying that omission.
The shrimp fajitas were my choice this go round. I haven't had seafood this flavorful in quite a while. Lightly - seasoned, a moderate amount of butter..... Aaah. Add some spicy Spanish rice on the side, some guacamole, & you have an affordable treat for the taste buds. The sweet / sour Texarita margaritas are a wonderful accompaniment. My only regret is that I didn't have much room for desert. Maybe next time.
I had the same prompt, courteous service as I had before, despite a VERY packed house & I completely love the decor. An excellent, affordable dining experience in an area predominated by fast food places.

The service was prompt & efficient, even though El Rey's was a little crowded & busy. Their prices are reasonable - Good for someone on a budget who still enjoys something other than fast food ! Courtesy must be one of their key words. I've lived here for 4 years & am rather surprised that I didn't try this place earlier.
I defy even Gordon Ramsey ( Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares ) to find serious fault with Azteca's !
As a side note - the decor is brilliant & festive, as befits a Mexican / Latin American restaurant. I'm definitely coming back. From a " foodie with a budget, 5 stars !
