Quaint cabin setting!
Excellent prices, tremendous variety, breakfast served all day.
Staff is upbeat...the lobby had a sign that said to expect a wait time due to not enough waitstaff/bussers. We had minimal wait and maximum service.
A must repeat! Thank you!

Went for lunch, food was good as well as the service. When it came time to pay at the register, the woman working the cash register never acknowledged us, at all. Never greated us, asked how our food was, told us our total, or even thanked us. Actually she never looked at us. She was to busy conversing with another co-worker. Pretty bad when my husband was the one who said something to me outside. I had walked out ahead of him. Maybe a little reminder of people skills need to be implemented.

Good is ok but for the price or should I say over price it should be all homemade. The servers all act like it's a burden to serve you and if your not a hundred don' t go in the summer unless you want to sweat in your food.

Great service, weird they charge for refills of soda. I ordered chicken and dumplings, definitely not my aunt Mandys. Was a bowl of flat dumplings with tablespoon of canned chicken literally setting in top of it.
The sampler platter was a home run, veg sticks very good. Pinto beans awesome.
Might return, not sure.

Wonderful home cooked food.. and great service! Its a family owned restaurant from what I'm told, and this is these women's life work! Nice atmosphere.. and you get the legit southern experience! Definitely 5 stars*****

This is the best place to eat. The food is always good, down home cooking. The service is always great and the people who own it are wonderful. The prices are so reasonable. If you like peanut butter pie there is no one else who can beat it. We go every night we are in town for the Appalachian Museum "Days of the Pioneer" antique show. See you in September!!!

Well, 1st time to visit Golden Girls Restaurant and I waited 5 mins to be seated; which was very nice. The place is really quaint. Unfortunately, after being seated no one came to take our order. Several employees passed by us but never assisted us. I'm never a patient person usually, but thought I'd give them a chance. After 35 minutes I started to head to the front. At that time another family was seated next to us and a waitress came in behind. Finally, we were asked how long we had been waiting, the waitress took our order, and we are now waiting for our food. Not sure if I will ever come back due to lack of service. Stay tuned for food quality...

Excellent service - poor food
Salmon patties should be pink or red, not gray.
Sandwiches should be served with a pickle or chips, not just sit on a plate alone.
Food was lukewarm; not hot.
