Top Reviews of Breadstuffs Bakery

I have been going to the Breadstuff's Bakery for at least 10 years and have been a regular at the Screaming Bird and it is usually a great experience, but today I had a terrible experience.
I ordered a veggie hash, and ate most of it and then found a big piece of metal in my mouth. It was a piece of a pot scrubber that had been cooked into the hash. I didn't want to disturb my family and friends' experience so I tried to get a server's attention and when one walked away from the next table, I took my plate and walked into the back, looking for someone to help me. A cook came into the room and I said, excuse me, I found this piece of metal in my food. He said "Oh that's an egg hair - like a string of egg that gets cooked and wiry" I said, no this is a piece of metal scrubber, and picked up the piece to show him. He grabbed it and threw it away quickly and said he didnt know. I looked in the trash for the piece he grabbed from me and said, well where did you put the metal? He said he put it in the trash and that I was not supposed to be there and to go talk to a server. I said well you grabbed the metal away from me so I cant show her now, but went back to my table. When our server came by, I told her what had happened, and she said, well is there something else I could get you? I said no, but then said, well you could refund my money for that. She said that because I had eaten most of it, that I could not get a refund. I talked to her again as we were leaving and told her that that was a disgusting experience and that I was not happy, and she said, well my boss is not here.
I am not happy but I know things happen and sometimes disgusting pot scrubbers somehow get into peoples food, but then those mistakes should be acknowledged and efforts should be made to satisfy the customer so as not to lose business and goodwill. I am shocked at the reaction that the cook and the server had to me finding that piece of scrubber in my mouth. I was a regular customer and often recommended this restaurant, but I dont think I or anyone else should take the chance of eating there anymore. I will try to contact a boss if I can, but those working there should have at least taken my info to pass on to the boss, right?
