lets see were to start,im 21 miles from steak escape in logan wv been wanting to eat there for a while but it seems hard to get in parking lot so we would pass,then one day i figured id try to get in the parking lot without getting hit by traffic.finally got in ,man was we hungry, we came to logan that day and said we was going to eat there today so we christmas shopped all day dragging kids around store to store ,hungrier by the moment couldnt wait for the steak sandwich and fry.unfortunately the kids dont do steak so we decide to take the kids to eat, passing up renos steakhouse,kfc,burger king,arbys,gattis,bob evans,papa johns,subway....the kids wanted mcdonalds so we fed the kids they was happy and then we left fountain place mall leaving all the restraunts behind knowing steak escape was on our way home ,we drove back a few miles towards the house dodged traffic to get in the parking lot, finally we was going to eat what we love to eat when we are out shopping but wait this is logan ,wv we have never ate here so i get the order of what we want and go in theres a lady cleaning and i walk up she says if you want a sandwich you will have to wait for the manager to get here to reboot the cash register its out of order i say ok,thinking man thats crazy ,i walk out break the news to my girlfriend we was upset leaving there starved to death driving back 21 miles to house discussing this ordeal and how odd.2 weeks later guess what we are going to logan to finish shopping i get off work at 4pm come home and talk to girlfriend about finishing shopping without the kids so they wont know everything clause got them ,so we decide to do that and eat at steak escape in logan,wv .girlfriends already ready to go knowing we planned to shop somewhere this weekend.so she drives the kids 45 minutes away to baby sitters house so we can give this a whirl again she leaves at 510pm gets back at 650pm so now im ready and we are both hungry,she spruces up a little and we leave at 720 pm drive to logan 21 miles and dodge traffic to get in the parking lot we get out knowing we are going to eat then shop till we drop.by now we are very hungry we walk in and low and behold the same lady is working from the last experience we walk up she cleaning the grill to shut down a hour before quit time.she says if you want something to eat you have to wait 45 minutes till the manager gets here to fix the cash register what she didnt remember was she told me this 2 weeks earlier and now my girlfriend has come in with me to sit and eat this time so she asks the employee of steak escape what corporates number so we can call to maybe fix this..she gives us the sad story about this happening all the time with the register not working about an hour before closing time both times we went there and how she deals with this so much and they hate to hear them call in so much trying to get this fixed.so we are furoius my gf has waited all day to eat there and i havnt ate in 8 hrs since work.obviously we didnt get corporates phone number...i gave this a 1 star because terrible customer service and terrible ordeals for us. i couldnt rate the food since we cant get service.i wonder how much business do they lose for this happening all the time .and times are getting hard here in southern wv everyone knows this. losing jobs everywhere here so money is hard to come by for anyone and businesses.but isnt it funny when u pull in 2 times an hour before quit time at this place to eat only to be shot down and come home to cook yourself.i guess what im trying to say is people from logan and surrounding areas watch what you pass up to eat to get to steak escape of logan,wv you might not get to eat if its close to an hour before thier quit time.everyone around here knows its 30 minute drive from town to town to get something to eat around here.let the hungry beware.date of last incident 12/7/14 8pm we are calling the restraunt to talk to the manager today or try to get corporates number today12/8/14 to be continued.
