I got a chance to taste some of Hayward's New homemade Ice Cream before they opened for the 2008 season (my favorite was a tie: Coffee Oreo and Nutty Banana Chip). It is the creamest ice cream I have ever had. I thought their ice cream was awsome before. Now it's phenomenal! I can't wait for Hayward's to open again.

Good ice cream - however, this place has not changed its menu (or building) in over a decade, and needs to get a bit more with it with some different exciting flavors to attract young people on their own and not just families (parents).
Opening up the same old place with a bunch of uncaring white American teenagers every year may be easy and profitable but is getting old.

One of the best for miles around. Just look at the lines of people and cars!
The quality and flavor of the ice cream can't be beat. Hayward's Pistachio is sublime- I won't even waste my $ on any other Pistachio after Hayward's closes for the season. We stock up on quarts of our favorite flavors to fill our chest freezer before they close each year. :)
I've been going here since I was dating, and now I bring my spouse and kids. The staff is always courteous and helpful, even during the rush.
