We were on vacation from Florida for a wedding in South Berwick Maine. The owner of the B&B we were staying at told us about the Black Bean Cafe. It was a local destination and the regular food was really good. The next day we returned and instead of traditional eggs, bacon and toast I ordered a special. I believe the New England Scrambled is what I ordered. I was amazed! That was the best breakfast I have ever had anywhere. Scrambled eggs, scallions, roasted sweet potatoes, caramelized onions, Vermont cheddar cheese etc. Phil the owner was cooking and again in 55 years traveling all over this was the best breakfast I have ever had.
