I’m a retired chef. I rate restaurants on the basics. For instance, an Italian restaurant or pizza place has got to have great sauce. It’s the basis for everything else. At new Chinese restaurant I order the same things before I expand my choices. That way I can compare and contrast restaurants.
These folks make the best fried rice and chicken Mei Fun I’ve ever had. Period.
I always need to add duck sauce or mustard to any Mei Fun that I order, because it’s so bland by itself. This is the *first* Mei Fun I’ve had that taste perfectly good all by itself. I don’t know what they do, but in 20 years I’ve never had it better.
Fried rice should not be dry and it should not be mushy. Shocking how many places make it that way. Great wall does fried rice perfectly. The flavors are all there and nothing needs to be added in terms of sauces. The prices are almost embarrassingly low. I cannot recommend them more highly. Extremely good restaurant. Kitchen area is very clean, which is suspect with a lot of Chinese takeout places. Pleasant customer service at the front. I recommend this place highly.
