This place is a joke they charge two dollars for olives in my martini

$20 beet salad with chicken. Overpriced for basic food items. It's really just bar food in disguise as gourmet. Outside cabana is cool where on can have a puff, but pamela needs an ash tray, instead of a stupid smoker's pole.

Food is always great. One of our favorite restaurants.

We made a 2nd try at Cornerstone in a years time and again to My disappointment.
I'll start with her fare, she had the Fish N Chips. Big solid flakey white fish, battered and fried very well with crispy fries served with both tartar and cocktail sauces, without having to ask. She also had a Tanqueray and tonic which was mixed well.
I on the other hand didn't become satisfied with my meal and sent it back and didn't care to have anything to replace the meal. Here goes, BBQ Pork Brisket with buttermilk cornbread, baked beans and coleslaw and a Yuengling on tap. 1st. the Good, the buttermilk cornbread very tasty, other than it was covered with the pork and bbq sauce, baked bean were tasty also but with the consistency of canned bean that haven't been baked. Now... the coleslaw was shredded like I like but lacked flavor and was not cold. 55 gallons drum commercial slaw would have been better. On to the Pork Brisket...….the pork was cooked well and I don't mean well done, it was not dry and nice and juicy, but had very little, if any, flavor other than the bbq sauce, which was made well, if it was made in house, not sharp and not overly sweet. I am not a big fan of bbq sauce because I think people use it to cover the flavor things instead of using it to enhance the flavor and there was not an overly amount on the pork. In all I ate 1 1/2 pieces of pork out of 5, 3 forks full of beans, 2 tastes of the slaw not forks full and as much of the cornbread that I could that didn't have bbq sauce on it. The platters were not skimpy on the portions of either meal and what I sent back was 90% of what was served.
Now the staff, 2 young ladies at the hostess point on entering they just looked at us, I showed 2 finger for how many in the party and they both just looked at me. NO greeting at all, but one finally got the menus and seated us. The waitress, also young, arrived promptly with at bottle of very cold water, poured and asked if we wanted drinks. Returning with the drinks she said she would give us time. After ordering the food a runner arrived with the meals in about 10-15 minutes. After barely taking a taste of the slaw, the waitress came over and asked "how did it come out" and I said "the coleslaw is terrible it's very bland" and she laughed, not a chuckle, an all out laugh and walked away. 5 minutes later she's back for an opinion and was told that the pork was lackluster, the bean watery, the coleslaw bland and tasteless but the cornbread was tasty but had too much bbq sauce on it and I wasn't going to eat it. I was asked if I want something else and I declined and she took it away. When she returned with the check, I was told that the manager took the meal off the bill and that she was paying for the beer for the trouble. In all, I will not return, ever. I was also very disappointed that the manager Never came to the table to find out what was wrong. 5 pm on Sunday, 11 Aug '19, and the place was not really busy, maybe a dozen people at the bar and one other table of 2 when we were seated, with a young man playing guitar amplified. For the amount of people in the restaurant his music was louder than necessary. I am a retired Chef and graduate of CIA 1971

I’ve been in the restaurant business for many years and first is first! You have to speak the English language. This place is horrible. The bartender was happy but had to ask her a few times what she actually said. Food was basic (I’m being nice) at a 5 star restaurant price. I’m not sure why this place is still taking up space. For the love of God, let’s get a restaurant that actually fits in Jackson. It’s not the “CornerStone.” Hey, I’m just putting in my own person review. 👎
