I would like to start with the food. Not worth the expensive prices. My mother and I got the buffet, and everything was horrible tasting. The potatoes were cold and dry, the bacon and sausage were awful tasting, and the eggs tasted as if they were powdered. The only thing that tasted halfway decent was the fruit. The coffee was also terrible. It was very bitter even with cream and sugar in it.

And now for the part of the experience that was even worse than the food-the staff. Unprofessional, inattentive, and EXTREMELY rude! First off, I am upset with the front desk of the Sheraton hotel for giving us the wrong information. They told us the complimentary breakfast was on the 2nd floor when it's actually on the 16th floor. Upon arrival, we were not greeted at all. The staff just looked at us with dirty looks. My mom asked if this was where the breakfast was, and one of the waitresses simply pointed in the direction of the buffet. Apparently, opening your mouth and actually talking to guests is not a requirement upon arrival.

After we got our horribly made food, we looked for a table. As we put our plates down, the same nasty waitress who was too lazy to speak before suddenly found her voice as we rudely heard, "Did the hostess seat you there? You sit out here!" And, you guessed it, she points to the table were we were "supposed to sit" as if we already knew. My mom noticed there wasn't ketchup on every table and she wanted some for her potatoes, so she took the first bottle she saw off a table. Just then, another nasty little waitress actually comes up and literally snatches the bottle out of my mom's hand and says, "There's already ketchup here!" in a snappy little tone of voice. My mom and I were offended at this, but we felt better when we were given coffee by a very nice gentleman; or so we thought!

After "enjoying" our "delicious" breakfast, or as much as we could stomach I should say, we were given the bill. Since we were told by hotel staff that it was the free complimentary breakfast we were confused as to why we were being billed. Rather than apologize for the inconvenience, the waiter goes from being somewhat polite to a condescending, snappy little smart-Alec just like the rest of the staff. He even said to my mother, "Do you really expect to come to a hotel and get a free breakfast?" Yes, as a matter of fact we do. In most hotels, even roach-coach slum hotels, have free breakfast. Maybe if he could do something better with his life besides pour bitter coffee, he would realize this.

The ONLY nice person in this entire restaurant is the manager, who we got to speak to, after requesting to speak to him FIVE times! Apparently, the staff is aware of their attitudes because they nearly refuse to let you speak to the manager. If they acted professional in the first place they wouldn't need the manager called on them, would they? As we spoke with the manager, I could audibly hear and see the staff members laughing at us and talking about us! How unprofessional and rude can you get?! Especially with them already in trouble with the way they treated my mom and I, you'd think this would be their cue to be quiet and pray they still have a job.

The manager was very polite and professional. He apologized for our experience and made us feel much better. We give major credit to him for his kindness and understanding. The manager is the only reason I feel this review deserves one star. If it weren't for him and if possible, I would give this place 0 stars.

All in all to sum it up, horrible food, and an even more horrible staff. (With the exception of the professional manager)
