WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS??? Overpriced and terrible food. Pancakes certainly nothing to write home about (The Peppercorn, in downtown Summit, has FAR better pancakes and offers a far better breakfast). A number of times I stopped in there, noticing a large number of cars parked outside, and yet after entering there were virtually no customers inside! I can only say anybody that likes this place would be satisfied with anything.

Please shut this place down!!! I've been there once and never again will I spend a penny more at this diner. Worst experience ever!! I came for breakfast with my two co-workers and place an ordered to go, i ordered eggs Benedict which was disgusting, kids Mickey Mouse pancakes for my daughter along with a side of bacon and eggs, and one of their combination platters with a side of pancakes.. First off the girl that was taking the order told me that they didn't have any Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes and that they were just regular shaped I said that's ok I'll still take it. After waiting at the place for an hour because they screwed up one of my co-workers ordered we finally left and after driving another 20min to get this food home to my family I realized that my daughters order was not in the bag. I immediately call and ask to speak to a manager, she finally gets on the phone and when I explained to her the situation she quickly responded that they don't do kids orders to go and how the waitress told me that which she never did, anyway she "looked" thru my order receipt and said " the order wasn't place. I told her exactly what was said when placing the order and once again she blurted out " I was the one who packed your bags and she didn't charge you for the pancakes" . At what point were they gonna tell me this before I left, now I'm home and my daughter doesn't have any breakfast. how can a place with such bad reviews still be open for business??

NEVER AGAIN.
On Fridays, they offer a baked short rib special entree. It's extremely popular and runs out quickly most weeks. Knowing this, I called ahead, as a waitperson had recommended, ascertained that there was an availability and left my name. Then I drive 10 miles to get there, walked in and was told--even though they knew I was coming--too bad, they gave the last serving to someone else.
NEVER AGAIN. They cannot be trusted.

While speaking to a waitress at the Nautilus Diner, she told me she had once trained for a job at the Broadway Diner in Summit. After training for a short period of time she saw one pancake, a part of someone's meal, fall to the floor and was placed back on the plate it came from. The pancakes were then served to the customer. She took off her apron and told the persons in charge that should would never work somewhere she herself would not dine. I firmly believe in the five second rule, however when a restaurant has an absurd amount of cockroaches that requires a call to the pest control at 3 o clock in the morning, I hardly believe the five second rule applies. this is something i've witnessed myself. a previous manager of the establishment told me that if he went in the kitchen and other areas of the restaurant with a camera and showed the cockaroaches and poorly maintained upkeep of the cleanliness of the Broadway Diner the family diner would quickly be shut down. The meat is left in buckets on the floor of the kitchen throughout the day.
I just thought as a concerned citizen of Summit, people of the town and towns surrounding should be aware of what they are potentially ingesting into their bodies.

the best diner in town! It's soooo cheap and the portions are huge! The sandwiches could easily feed two people and the service is super speady and the people there are friendly. High recommend!

Worst dinner food on the East Coast. This place should be shut down by the Board of Health..
