OMG!
We were driving from Michigan to Los Angeles and stopped for the night in Gallup. We only found this "little treasure" from looking thru the hotel's book with area menus inside.
The food is yummy & the owner even came around to each/every table to talk to the customers! Such nice people and they sure have one (or more) great cooks in the back!
We are leaving in December to travel the exact same route, and we have already booked a hotel in Gallup so we can eat at Sammy's again.

WHAT A FIND! We were returning to Flagstaff from a long weekend in Santa Fe with family, on Sunday the 11th of July, and didn't want to miss the World Cup Soccer final game between Spain and the Netherlands.
I'd never been to Sammy C's before. I found their info on the web, called, & learned that they'd be showing the World Cup match.
We coordinated our departure, dropping off family @ the ABQ Sunport Airport so they could make their plane and we could hit Sammy's @ the right time for the game.
WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE! This wonderful place, located between 1st & 2nd streets on Coal Avenue, just off the main drag, is BEAUTIFUL! BIG! BRIGHT!
.... It must be one of the nicest places in northern New Mexico! The food was great, the rooms (plural), bar, and dining areas are fresh, clean, modern and inviting.
Sammy is...(& his family are..)(wife, kids & brother were there for the soccer match!) the soul of hospitality. There is a general feel of bonhomie ... among the staff and customers.
I just can't say enough good about our delightful experience! Don't miss it!
